@Home, Gameday in town, last game against UiF - I think the Canes are looking to make a big statement.
 
There’s one reason why this game worries me. It’s a nationally televised game where you might lose and there’s a lot of rumors of your coach being fired within the next week.
If you’re not happy and you know that your coach is gonna be fired you’re gonna wanna leave. So right before your coach is about to get fired you get to play on a national stage against what’s considered a top five team in the country. A lot of of these players are gonna want to show out to increase their market value because they’re gonna be eligible to transfer within 30 days of the coach being fired.


Add to that the fact that they don’t want to be embarrassed on primetime and you got a recipe for a team that’s gonna put up a big fight.

Feels like fans (justifiably) are gonna do this the entire season though. If we beat up Florida it’ll just be the same thing against FSU. Then mid ACC play. Then November etc etc

I'm not predicting a NC or undefeated season by any means. But I've felt that this season might turn out like our '87 squad. You lose your stud QB (Vinny v Cam) and other talent yet come back dang strong the next season.

Per the usual it’s never gonna be one game at a time. If we lose to Florida and win the NC are we not “back”? OSU did it last year.

I love the schedule. Arguably our three biggest most hated rivals in the first 5 games. A tough test with 5 games in November including 3 conference road games

It’s the world basically being like “show me Miami”
 
Not sure if this team is destined for greatness, but it makes a lot of sense to think we have a lot of highly motivated individuals with a lot on the line - for the team and individually. Bain, Mesidor, Moten, Bissainthe, Beck, Mauigoa, Cooper, Fletcher...are all putting on for the U as well as marketing themselves. Really don't think we've won enough for a letdown. I say we're locked and loaded. Let the chips fall.
