Ridiculous thread. Chickilo would lucky to great drafted.
It has nothing to do with scheme. Daniell hunter de from lsu had 1.5 sacks last year and was a 3rd round pick.
The de from ucla was 270 playing in a 3-4 and went 3rd round to the giants.
Go watch film even when they did 1 gap chick was not getting any penetration.
Chick is a high motor guy that maxed out in high school.
Mario edwards at 300lbs was playing 3-4 olb last year and should have been a dt and still went 2nd round.

Its not ridiculous he's a 4-6th round, he's jag at best in the NFL
He's just not that good, man.

Don't say this our porsters can't handle the fact that chick is what he is.. A guy who can't hold contain and probably can't rush a passer. Lol and y'all blaming Golden..
Good thing he is up there with Spence
He was a beast in a ****** all star game. Not 1 of those o-lineman he played vs in that game was drafted.
He played well vs vt & unc because they had ****** o-lines.
Go look at chick in his career and the only times he got sacks was vs bad lines.
chick was at 250-255 his sophmore year in a 1 gap 4-3 D how many sacks did he have?
FSU played a base 425. Edwards wasnt an 3-4 OLB. Football IQ is lacking here. Chikillo looked good in a 2nd tier All star game. big deal... he isnt elite as a 4-3 DE, and looked awful as a 3-4 Jack on his pro day workout. Chick is a situational player, which explains his draft position.
Agree with u man. I honestly did not expect anything out go this draft for him, and think he may have actually been drafted high than he should
Maybe you're right, but besides some all star game practice hype, he's posted pedestrian like number his entire time here. Decent player, perhaps undervalued, but at some point you need more production to justify even a pick at this point.
Pretty obvious you do t understand how inept coaching affected this guy. And no you do t always need production to justify anything case real football people understand how coaching/ schemes etc. can effect a player.
Wow, thank you for making the light bulb go off. I never imagined that a quality coaching staff and good scheme could actually make a player shine. Fascinating stuff, but there's a lot of smart guys getting paid handsomely to evaluate players and his evaluation said 6th round. Who knows where others had him, but 6th is where someone felt it was worth picking him up. With a quality staff, the sky was the limit, right?
Chick had been overvalued his years at the U by the fans. Did this staff use him incorrectly, most definitely.
He was going to be a 6/7th round and that is where he landed.
Those saying 3/4th and some even 2nd had their orange shades on.

Well i guess so is every other scout and team who I guess are not as smart as you and were unable to see past the scheme issue and notice the great player that you see. Usually great pass rushers, yea they wait till the 6th round to get. The guys was blocked one on one all the time and his sack totals went from 5 to 4 to 3.5 to 3 as he matured and learned and got stronger. I hope he is great but don't see it.
But hey, enlighten us you fkcing genius.
lol if you think chick was misues
the guy will do nothing in a 4-3 at de..hes so slow...
please explain how he was miseued. if anything, he got chick ready to play the postion he will be playing in the NFL
Chick led the NCAA in almost sacks and almost TFL the kid is just step too slow had to gain weight to defend run
Hate golden but you guys are going a little to far with this chick **** , go look at the drill they just did chick still can't turn the corner smoothly and takes 3 years to get the qb , explosiveness you either got it or you don't
Let's see what he do at the next level....I dont see explosiveness
Staff should have switched exclusively to 4-3 to cater to Chickillo!!!
LOL
Guy was always out of position. The other options were keeping him on the bench or not recruiting him at all.
Chick hahahahaha bahahahaha oh wow I dropped my yak.
So you're telling us he's gonna be JJ watts now that he's away from golden and lost 20lbs lmfao yeah show us.
I hope he does he's a cane alum so he's family I hope he makes millions and millions. Time will tell.
Well done by followers of the Al Golden Cult. You really hit a homerun on this one.
During the offseason Chickillo, dropped about 30 pounds, shedding the defensive lineman image for a quicker, 253-pound build to utilize his speed.
"A lot of teams didn't think I was athletic because of the way I was used in Miami, so I kind of have that chip on my shoulder," Chickillo said. "I want to go prove everybody wrong."
Chickillo's relentless work ethic was on full display during training camp practices as he used his speed and slender 6-foot-3 frame to regularly get past offensive tackles
The converted 4-3 and 3-4 defensive end from Miami also caught the eye of Steelers broadcast analyst Tunch Ilkin, who, during a live spot for Steelers Nation Radio, said, "If you came here knowing the Steelers drafted an outside linebacker in the first round, and these guys weren't wearing numbers, you would think that first-round pick was Anthony Chickillo."
