CIS is disgusting

Plus everyone is highly sensitive to the last 4 failed regimes, any mistakes we saw last night we’re going equate to manny being part Shannon, gluten, richt etc..it was a poorly coached game but unlike those guys I think manny is smart enough to realize what needs to improve and he won’t be set in his ways to the detriment of the team

1. We are not ranked.
2. The gator is ranked as the 8th team in the nation.
3. Our defense played lights out under bad field position conditions.
4. Jarren Williams did not lose the game and contributed under immense pressure, he will be great.
5. We made Franks look like dog ****.
6. Rough when our NFL quality receiver muffs a punt and drops passes, BUT no one is perfect and he WILL be a factor for us to win the Coastal. And our place kicker misses a chip shot. Baxa missed the same FG in the spring scrimmage so I wonder if he over compensated?
7. For a first game as HC Manny had the team ready and poised for a victory as did Enos, and THEY deserved a win, put the loss on the few stupid mistakes that should not happen like the taunting call, muff and missed FG.
8. Our two freshmen tackles had some good moments and WILL improve rapidly. The gator does have a decent defensive unit and we got what should have been expected, a game we should've won.
9. The officials sucked (as expected since I asked all week what conference they would be from and still don't know). They sucked for both teams.
10. I don't recall a reversal of a pass interference call by an official right next to the play and overrode by officials far away. I have not reviewed the DVR yet since I came here and see such nonsense about Manny and Enos that is undeserved. If you consider the Canes as your team applaud the effort and move on. Those disappointed in Manny and Dan need to realize we could've still had Mark Richt and Junior without Manny's defense. So STFU or get off your high horse and move on.

We are going to be really good the rest of the season and our kids played with passion and effort and do not deserve ridiculous criticism BUT do deserve our support.
Oh, it also seemed that every time momentum was swinging to our team, there was long delays by the officials not TV timeouts.

Also, the fake punt by Mullen was gutsy and worked, without that one play we win the game but they deserve credit. If it failed, we get the field position we needed and they don't get the early TD.

You're right on all points. But, I think the disappointment is that even with all those knocks on the team - WE still could have won that game, we were still the better team last night.

I think Manny and Enos did well with everything that was thrown at them in that arena. Will we get better, yes. Should people be calling for heads and doubting where we're moving? No.

We are not a finished product, we will be better, we are better than the Gator... But we lost... And that stings more than anything.

This website filled with posters whose football acumen is somewhere between the special Olympic level (no disrespect to those boys and girls) and a youth firing up an old NCAA football game for the first time. This used to be a good website for Canes football, it's beyond trash at this point. The good posters are few and far between. When they do post, it gets drowned out by all the other stupidity. What else is out there?

All these ghost fans after the loss lol

We should have won, even with over 100 yards in penalties, muffed punt, dropped td pass, and missed fg. 56yd run to the 2 by cam called back. Oh and if that PI held up, we win.

I'm upset we lossed, but this game was more of an indictment on the gaytors.

I thought Jarren played well, but over the course of the season his mental clock needs to improve. Kids going to get hurt by taking all those sacks.

Focus on UNC, and take more deep shots when the opportunity arises.

I came into this game with low expectations, despite all the CIS experts telling me we'd blow out the Gator and #TNM=#6 National Title. I was pleasantly surprised. The team did not quit. The offense improved from a 3 and out zombie show. We got way more turnovers than the LSU opener.

Was going to write about the same thing this morning, thanks for saving me the time, our fans suck. I saw a team that rolled out an innovative new offense against a very good defense and just didn’t have the coin fall our way. The biggest thing to me is we never stopped battling till the clock hit 0. I can live with how we played, but to trash the coaches Is porsting at its finest

Money post. I know it sucks to lose, but Canes fans should be optimistic for the season. I can't believe the calls for firing coaches and benching players. Dumb mistakes lost the game for us, but we should roll the coastal division. It was clearly the first game of the year for both teams and the refs. I said at the beginning that the team with better offensive line play will win and that is what happened. Our o-line was weaker than theirs, but we have youth in our o-line. They will get exponentially better as the season progresses.

FACTS FACTS FACTS, this is everything I wanted to post but was to lazy to do so.

The NON false start call when UF went for it on 4th down is the worst call I’ve ever seen
That was atrocious. You can't miss that as a referee. Pass interference calls are tough due to the speed of the players. Watching a guy move too soon when everyone is still is horrible. That was a game changer.

We have said that about Coker, Shannon,Golden and Richt. We all know how that turned out. I'm just done making excuses for these coaches.
You know the other common thread among that? The fans turned as fast as they could, then that led to the players via things like social media. Then the coaches basically had nowhere to go but down. These are different players, with different issues than those previous HCs had. Coker just lost the team and recruited like crap. Shannon had no offense and he also recruited like crap and had ZERO personality. Golden had good offenses and the WORST defense ever. And Richt was basically the offensive version of Golden. They both recruited OK, but had deficiencies on their staff they were not willing to change.
Manny has had ONE game. He immediately fired the WHOLE offensive staff. He is recruiting at a pretty good rate. I am willing to make a few excuses for him at this point. I think its unfair to throw him in that category after one game.
All the people that do that are just the ones who would rather be "right" and say "see I called it he sucked, blah blah blah". Funny thing is there were people saying that when we were 10-0 and had just trounced ND. It says more about those people than the team.
We are fans, support the kids and the staff. Well, at least give them more than one game against the best defense they will face all season.

How did our defense play well? None of UF’s 4 turnovers were forced in the least. They had 2 overthrown balls and 2 fumbled snaps.

Bro, there was so many games last year where I had no hope no matter how close the game was. Yesterday felt different for me at least. There's things to figure out over the next two weeks.

1 We shouldn’t be ranked
2 they didn’t look like a top ten team.
3 They played well enough in spots. 4 turnovers should absolutely get you a win.
4 I liked a lot of what JW did. But if he doesn’t learn to throw the ball into the cheap seats and stop with the Curley Neal impersonation, he’ll end up wearing a cast.
5 He is dog ****. He made 1 play, and it beat us.
6 insert Santana quote here about big time players. Football always seems to come down to 5 or 6 pivotal moments or plays. We needed to make one or two more plays last night and we get out of that game with a win.
7 Jury is out on Manny. I like him but I Didn’t like that they didn’t do due diligence with a national search, pushed the panic button and hired him before the ink dried at Temple
8 OLine doesn’t strike me as a place where people improve rapidly. This bunch will take time. I mean, no, zero, zip starts at both tackle spots and we just played an sec state school. Double digit sacks wasn’t a reach as a prediction. I’m more disappointed in our own DLine getting the equivalent number of sacks on that stiff that plays QB for UF.
9 Refs were mind bottling. Really bad.
10 The Canes will always have my support. But I’m not delusional.
