Doesn't matter how ****** the defense is. In fact, that's all the more reason NOT to go for it on 4th at your own 35 with under 3 mins to go in the game. You don't give the other the team the ball on your 30 when you could pin them back deep in their own territory. and make them drive the distance Lot of things can happen--they can muff the punt, INT, fumble a snap (ECU had 2 fumbles in the game) or whatever.

FYI, ECU did punt 4 times in the game, so the Cinci D somehow managed to stop them then.

Bottom line is that was a ****** call, and UM fans would be outraged if Golden made a similar call.

Did I say or infer that the Bearcats (by the way what the **** is a bearcat?) were a great team? No, they are a decent team tied for first in the AAC a non-power conference (remnants of the Big East). They are tied with Memphis who beat Cincy. Both Memphis and Cincy have one loss in conference and identical 6-3 overall records. We laid off in the 2nd half and could have poured it on but protected our best and provided experience for other players be they scrubs or younger players needing experience.

I was pointing out the score of a just completed game that has minimal but some impact on our power ratings vis a vis bowl placement.

This post also had nothing to do with Folden and Dorito.
