Cincy game on Oct 1

We went to a Cincy game when Dorsey played. Stayed downtown not far from the Reds stadium which was fine but a hike from Nippert. It was really a hot/humid afternoon (Miami weather) & I remember Cincy wore their all black uniforms. It was a boring atmosphere. There was good food at the stadium (grilled sausages, w/onions peppers etc) Unless it's changed, I don't recall anything much as far as bars, restaurants anywhere nearby. Not a place I would yearn to return to but if the team was winning big, I would go in a heart beat.:stormwarningflag-sm

I might look into setting up a tailgate unless anyone already has one planned or knows of anyone who does? If you do let me know the details on where exactly it will be and what time and I will message all the ppl on here who expressed interest. If not I'll message people with the details of the one I set up.

You're a year early on Dorsey. It was Scott Covington at QB for UM in '98.

(Great pic of that year's LB core of Morgan, Webster, and Michael Smith.)

Nebraska game is huge and must win IMO. If we lose that game, we could def lose @ Cincy and it would be free fall from there.

Canes gonna give Bearcats a Rhonda Rousey beat down.

I hope right right. Just think its gonna be a bigtime battle.

People talk as if the Nebraska game is turning point in season but i think were 4-0 going to Cincy. Win there goto FSU 5-0. Lose to Cincy and heading to FSU downspiral could tank the season early.

I will be there as well. I live in Cincinnati, so I have to support the team. I will be looking for the Canes Tailgate... Don't mind connecting before or after the game. I will show you where there is some really good food!

Tickets will be readily available.

The game will be on UC's campus, in Clifton. The city won't have much night life on a Thursday evening, but there will be a Cane's tailgate before the game. I believe it will be in one of the parking lots.

There's plenty of eating options ... Just depends on your taste. But the campus offerings will, primarily, be chain restaurants.

If there is a Canes tailgate that is where I will be for sure.

Driving over from Lafayette, IN. Have spent a little time in Cinci and always thought it was a cool city, but never in the area of the campus.

surprised none of the idiots have come out and said that u are part of the problem because u support the team.

I was 100% expecting that to happen haha. When you're a Miami fan from Michigan you don't turn down a chance to drive to a Canes game. I don't care if Ronald McDonald is coaching the team. Drove to South Bend to watch the basketball team last year too. But there has been some really good info on this post. Glad I did it.

If you're that dialed in against those of us who think that you're a scumbag if you give any funds to UM while they retain Folden, then get your tickets from UM. I'm sure UM will have tickets for sale for this game.

Oh, let me guess. You were hoping someone would offer you some tickets for free or that you'd find some angle to get them for a fraction of the price.

Be a hero, and support UM all the way. Buy your tickets from them for full face value.

A: I'm a college student who is driving 4 hours which will be a pretty big expense as it is. B: UM gets plenty of money for coming to play at UC. C: I'm a Miami fan, therefore I will support my team, even if I don't support the administration or coaching staff. You can keep crying and pounding your fists like a child while I'm in the stands watching some football. I don't get many chances to watch UM in person, so when I get the chance I'm going to go and proudly wear orange and green. So why don't you get back to *****ing about Golden and stop worrying about who I get my tickets from.

Buy your tickets from UM, superfan. Otherwise, you're nothing but another sorry *** hypocrite.

the franchise is right, get your tickets from UM.

where you coming from in mich? i'll be coming down from the flint area. we can probably carpool if you're concerned about traveling expenses. no charge so long as you're not a weirdo. weirdo's gotta throw in on gas

Not quite sure where I'll end up getting the tickets from. I'm going to buy them in early September. I appreciate the offer but I am actually going to car pool with some guys from my school.

the drive should be pretty cheap then.

if you need help getting your tickets through UM, let me know. i can put in a request for ya.

I admire your enthusiasm. I normally travel to away games that are scheduled in Florida; however, I won't go this year to FAU or FSU. I just hope the team actually plays to some level of good play and does not get embarrassed. Cincy is primed to make a statement. They need this victory to make a statement that they deserve to be in a Power 5 conference. UM hasn't looked well when they play a team that raises their level of play to make a statement...i.e. Loserville, Kansas State, Nebraska. I'm concerned if Cincy comes out and slaps our guys in the mouth as the tendency has been for UM players to shut it down. I'm not bashing the Canes, I'm just providing my opinion from actually being at the Russell atheletic bowl, and various others stadiums over the last 7 years.
