Christopher Herndon IV

hes between a 2nd and 4th.

He will jump out of the gym. Use to be a bball player..the miami pedigree is good for a round. He has special teams ability has always played there.

Legit all he has to do is run sub 4.7

He's a terrific TE and will likely go in the third round. TE typically don't get drafted much in rounds 1-2 unless they are total athletic freaks like Njoku.

Herndon gets open a lot, is incredibly dependable at catching the ball, blocks well and keeps the chains moving. He's a low 1st round/high 2nd round talent who will likely get drafted in the 3rd round (unless he runs a 4.6 & does incredibly well in his Pro Day etc in which case he could sneak into the end of the 2nd round).

The only offensive players at Miami (that we've seen perform for Miami) that I might take over him currently if I was an NFL GM are Richards (injury raises questions but he's a 1st or 2nd round talent) and Donaldson (still haven't seen enough of his play yet to be sure about this but he is talented). Herndon strikes me as the most dependable Miami player you could pick in the draft (Berrios is a distant second). He has consistently balled out for us (and should be used even more). He will make whichever NFL team takes him very happy.

3rd-4th. I think he'll run a good 40. If he inpresses in the agility portion and catch everything during drills, he is definitely gone on the second day.

All I know, is when I see Herndon take those bubble slot screens and just eats up first downs, I just wonder why we don't do that more often.

Most complete TE in the country. He will rise throughout the process. Second-day pick (2nd-3rd).
More complete than Mark Andrews? He's my TE1 with Herndon right behind him.

He’s used mostly as a receiver. While Herndon is an all around tight end who is excellent in blocking

I know that but he blocks decent enough too and that's why he's my TE1. While Andrews isn't as great as Herndon as a blocker, he has the experience of working in an offense that gets him the ball. While I'd like to push Herndon in that top spot, Andrews' body of work is more impressive.

4th round or so. I think he'll outplay his draft position. He's good at everything involving the TE position as a plus athlete. Not the freak like Njoku, but Herndon is fast and tough.

We tried that one too many times and almost got a pick six put on us against uva. Also probably don't want to wear out our only trusted te.

NFL drafts on potential.

After about the first 20 picks. The NFL also drafts based on body of work which Herndon doesn't have and why he's not TE1.

Don't forget that nobody besides us really knew how good Njoku was until he went ape on a WV team that was supposed to beat us. Herndon has the talent and he will have an opportunity to showcase it on a national stage. Njoku went from round 2-3 to round 1 with one dominant performance.

Not really. Nojokeu went to round 1 because of measurables.

And production
43 catches 698 yards 8 tds is an impressive stat line for a tight end
