2029 Christian "CJ" Cypher QB from Carrollton, GA (Carrollton HS) Commits to the Canes

Bama won with a lot of young QB hurts tua bryce mac Jones they had such stacked teams that as long as you could find the open man and not turn the ball over the QB was good.

The coaches have to know this right? It's frustrating when a backup like Nickel gets a chance to play in a game but doesn't get any meaningful snaps.

I would think the coaches would want to see how he would handle the snaps with his back against the goal line but instead they ran it three times. Let him throw the ball and if he gets sacked or throws an INT you still win the game but you learn a lot about your QB too.
This.. I thought the same, let him throw at least one pass. But for some ungodly reason we ran it 3x, with a kid, although fast, is a light weight and not known for a tackle breaker. JFC, what a wasted opportunity for Nickel. I mean what in the holy Christ did we have to lose, certainly not the game. As much as I appreciate the job our coaches do and the progress we have made, it’s head scratching s**t like this that’s just GD dumbfounding.

You have to develop a HS quarterback in case your prized portal quarterback goes down
Truth,.. Mensah goes down,.. we’re Pitt, and we saw what that pile of S**t looks like. Back plan = back up QB. Here’s a thought maybe we can buy back up QB thru the portal also and never have to recruit/develop one,… said no one f**king ever.

Yeah, baffling approach around the goal line. Either didn’t trust Nickle or no confidence in backup OL.

Well if they don’t trust QB2, enough to give him some significant reps under pressure, if Mensah goes down, WE ARE F**Ked. We’re Pitt or worse.

This coming from the same dude that said we need to stop recruiting portal qbs and develop our high school qbs lol? You're all over the place Sin Dogg lol!

What you are saying makes sense, but not many teams are built to withstand their starter getting hurt.
