Not really Richmond. LC Byrd is in the suburbs in Chesterfield County. My kids HS plays LC Byrd so I’ll make sure to attend. LC is normally 3rd or 4th in the district. Huguenot and Manchester are the better programs with better players for public schools. The private schools do grab some of the better players in the area but there are more than enough to find 4star kids playing at public schools.

Gotta make it easy for everyone when it comes to location when it’s a Miami board so I put Richmond.

I know Manchester and Bird, I played in that district a decade ago when Bird was ripping off 2K rushers a year running power I throwing up the U and going undefeated with ease until the playoffs.

Couple of us with midlo ties on this board which is pretty cool.

James Franklin gone break the bank for this kid, give him his first big win on the trail for Tech

It's his first big recruiting test for sure, but this kid is leaving the state. SEC bound now that OSU had the other 5 star commit DE to them.

Contact between Whitehead, the No. 3 EDGE and No. 23 overall prospect nationally, and Miami defensive line coach Jason Taylor started to pick up around two weeks ago. The two are quickly building up a good rapport, and Whitehead has been especially impressed with Taylor’s coaching and development.

Whitehead and his family are looking to nail down a firm [spring practice] date.
....
It wouldn’t be surprising to see Whitehead lock in an official visit if his spring trip goes well.

I’ve been covering the elite pass rusher for more than a year now and have seen him in a live setting four times, including for a game in the fall. Last offseason, Whitehead flashed elite athleticism, superior movement at his size and a very intriguing frame.

....

Before I joined CaneSport, I rewatched both of the Miami 30-for-30 documentaries. One scene talked about finding ‘Miami kids’ on the recruiting trail and described them as ‘tough and having a chip on their shoulder.’ That’s Whitehead.
