Knoxville to Chapel Hill is only 5 hours.I would imagine they wouldn't want Carolina in their backyard everyday.F’ing Florida. Lol
What’s UTK’s beef w/ UNC, though??

Oh chit! Lol. That’s like driving from L.A to Vegas almost. Lol. I can see the despise. Lol
Basketball plays a lot into this too. Both have really good women's teams....traditionally. but both fight for western NC/VA recruits.
Florida has kept Miami out and SC had kept Clemson out, but that’s old news. Too much money out there now.F’ing Florida. Lol

Yeah, u’re right. Didn’t even take that into consideration. Again, we’ve been so hyper focused on CFB, not realizing other sports are impacted by such decisions. Which is y the B1G was happy to take UCLA as well b/c of their other sports pedigree outside of CFB & the B1G has felt inferior to both the ACC & SEC in b-ball.
Why? Can't say nothing but great things about him. High-character football player who won back-to-back Super Bowls whilst having no issues being a role player.man fvck Chris Long.
For real. If you are the SEC, and you want to get a foothold into Virginia, why would you choose to bring UVA over VT? The only things that come to mind would be academics, and sports other than football. But that ain't what this sh*t's about for the SEC.As much I despise VT, they are more SECish than UVA, which has beautiful campus and everything but has more of a Chardonnay crowd.
Me personally, if I'm the B10, Im on the phone with UNC, Duke, Miami, GT, and dare I say it FSU, like yesterday. The entire SEC would have to fly helicopters into Florida to market themselves. If you can cover both coasts and the southeast in both football and basketball, you're the pied piper of college athletics. Not to mention, it would likely force ND to be a player for a change.
If anyone thinks schools can keep other in-state schools out after seeing TAMU and Texas unfold then they’re living on a different planet. Money is way too big now.Florida has kept Miami out and SC had kept Clemson out, but that’s old news. Too much money out there now.

The joke is on Mr Long for getting his news for a swimming website.
Charlotte/Raleigh recruits.F’ing Florida. Lol

I didn't put too much stock in that. ATM was new to the conference, didn't expect them to have enough sway to do anything. But, I do put stock in our insiders saying UF can't block us anymore. **** the Gators, let's get some big boy money and keep this and keep this train rollingIf anyone thinks schools can keep other in-state schools out after seeing TAMU and Texas unfold then they’re living on a different planet. Hence why aTm couldn't keep Texas out.Florida has kept Miami out and SC had kept Clemson out, but that’s old news. Too much money out there now.

Money machine Relly.............these guys are playing chess.........our ACC guys are having a hard time setting up the checker board. Not even contemplating the next move.Yeah, I agree. Right now the Big has the North, the East, & now The West on lock. If they can poach UNC, Duke, Miami, FSU, they’ll have a stranglehold on the 4 corners of the U.S. That market share??! My Lawd. That’s at least a $1.5b/yr contract. W/ 20 teams?
