Interesting how different people respond to news.

So, to recap, Gene Chizik has gone from winning a national title at Auburn to North Carolina's defensive coordinator in only four seasons. He's like the anti-Lane Kiffin at this point.

Wow, Never thought Miami football would be behind UNC football on a regular basis. Then show 0 interest in trying to compete.....

Good move for UNC. I'm sure Chizik will have complete control of their D. Fedora is an offensive coach.

They still need some more roster talent, though.
 
Ok we all know the real answer is for Golden to be fired! But if he is getting another year, I can't believe this guy is gonna roll the dice on his future with the same staff. Talking about stubborn or stupid one!

I thought coaches decisions are made at the coaches convention, that's the bs that is being thrown around on another site!!! UGH I hate my alma mater!!!
 
I just want to know why everything around this program is so **** quiet.. like Golden skipping radio interviews and all that ****, the AD and Coley go out tweeting bull **** to try to quiet everything from Duke's mom and all that yet no direct response to anything? And yet there's still not one coaching change. None. I know it won't solve the problem which is Golden, but I just don't see how he can at all justify the fact that anything that has to do with continuity is what this program needs. We have used continuity for the last 4 years and have regressed. It's time for a complete 180 degree change. At the least, a staff change would show recruits they are trying

Does it really matter? If Golden is the real problem, what is shuffling a couple of assistants going to accomplish? I think he'll fail in 2015 no matter who he scapegoats.
 
mjackson6, wasn't it this quiet last year at this time while Al was desperately trying to get the back door open? Maybe he's drumming up a new job.

No way he can get one. In his mind right now he thinks that if he waits 2 weeks after the loss everyone forgets and there's no more heat... but it's just adding on.

Just wishful thinking but I'm hoping someone told him he has no room to speak because it might not be his job soon
 
They are hoping that if they are quiet long enough, all of this will blow over and the fans will move on....
