And sometimes you replace ok but not great with the worst. Just something to consider.
True
And sometimes you replace ok but not great with the worst. Just something to consider.
Miami and FIU are both in the city of Miami as USC and UCLA are both in the city of Los Angeles
That’s the comparison I was making. No matter how down Miami /USC is kids will still go there instead of FIU/UCLA
At least Chip did better than Leach, the coach some people on here swear every local kid would be lining up to play for.
And this is after winning 10 games.

Leech will win 10 again though
The right coach can produce teams at UCLA that are better than USC. UCLA has an incredible campus, is a better school academically and boasts an ideal location. USC has a great campus, but you are still in close proximity to the ghetto. USC does have the better stadium option and much better tradition, but UCLA is a sleeping giant. UCLA has as much money as USC.
...into a plastic bag...Whoever is a Chip Kelly slurper needs to get their head checked
Nice try. There are reasons it never plays out that way. USC owns the football aura in that city and that region. When things are going well USC gets the hefty majority of elite kids in Los Angeles and nearby. That will not change. Clay Helton won't be the coach forever, and not all the athletic directors will be like Lynn Swann, preferring to play golf in the Pebble Beach pro-am instead of fixing the programs.
Nobody cares about the area surrounding USC's campus. You can always identify an ignorant outsider who has no idea what is going on, if they use that theme. It is always hilarious when posters here peddle that theme as if they know something. In particular I was in hysterics when some guy here bragged that he told his kid not to go to USC because it adjoins Compton. Talk about clueless. When I was at USC I couldn't have pointed in the direction of Compton from my Troy Hall apartment. That's how irrelevant it is. Nobody is scared. Nobody says a word. You are enjoying remarkable camaraderie at a terrific small serene campus. It's never difficult to get to class or locate somebody. That was true long before smart phones.
USC and UCLA are very close to academic parity. They are nearly side by side in the rankings all the time. Naturally each school has different strengths by department. But UCLA is more difficult to transfer into. That has been true for decades and Jim Mora emphasized it Wednesday during the signing day coverage. That's why UCLA is really in bad shape if this portal trend continues. UCLA has lost 7 players to the portal but gained nobody.
I despise the Gators. My USC friends always chastised me because I didn't hate UCLA as much as the typical Trojan. But it is easily explained because I didn't grow up with it. Then when we'd be attending events in Westwood the Bruin fans were always cool. Likewise at places like Drake Stadium, the track and field venue at UCLA. Then in Las Vegas I had several friends from UCLA. All of them acknowledged that USC was king in football, due to so many built-in advantages, including game day atmosphere and walk to the adjacent stadium instead of long drive to the Rose Bowl.
As always, Happy Adjusters lose
That’s same exact argument u just said is the same as Miami and FIU Miami being USC and FIU being UCLAThe right coach can produce teams at UCLA that are better than USC.
