I think that Mario is building for the long term. Even losing tonight, the fact that we kept fighting back and didn't fold up our tent has to be attractive to recruits.

This team fights. This culture fights. That pays off with victories and championships. But we're not there yet. Cignetti was ahead of our curve.

Building wtf are we expecting another Bain , Messidor. Im ****ed we are not dropping bags. Half the stadium was IU. I hate this grassroots bs. The NIL is here and we need to act accordingly

4 and goal and we let Urkel run up the middle breaking tackles like he's Cam Newton. The audacity is something this Txn can grasp.
if you watched a pod this week they said over and over that mendoza has legit size and he's a tough tackle with momentum ... he made a play, that's didn't cost us the game

Its extremely hard not to be disappointed. Getting to the title game with the Dline we had. Hard to envision it getting better than that and we still came up short.

Hurts that we have it away on that ******* punt block. Just crazy that this season came down to that. Idk wtf Joyce was thinking. I hate the walk four steps to the side and take three father steps before pointing. Begging to get it blocked.
Yeah, whiff aside, the dude had all night to get thst punt off. Just step up and kick it like punters used to

It hurts. But the team faught.

We are not NC caliber at several positions and this team hit its stride. A playoff team nonetheless.

40 yards from #6 with 50 seconds.

Keep building. That is a good opponent and an even better coach.
The team we played was full of 3*s . Dont talk about not being NC caliber lmao. We let one go tonight

Indiana beat us in the situational football. We beat ourselves plenty of time as well. It suck’s but this wasn’t a fluke. We will be in the mix every year. This wasn’t some Herculean effort by a cam ward qb like last year. This was a team that fought and picked each other up. Yeah we’re losing the defensive ends and the tackles but Mario’s building something and he’s proven that. There will be no Larry Coker downfall here. Let’s get a qb and get back

I played D1 and it was considered an insult if a team went for it twice on 4th down. Complete ridiculous at home.

congrats on your playing days ... i actually saw it as desperation, you don't make it, we have momentum going on the other way ... either way, the mendoza scramble didn't lose the game

Went toe to toe with the best team in the country

**** hurts but man what an effort

What's funny, I don't even think they were the best team in the country. Either way, we can put to bed the narrative that they were the best team ever. This team of ours isn't even our top team and that's no disrespect to them.

Here's why I don't think they were the best team in the country.

Listen, it was a great year, unexpected, and it didn't end the way I believe it should have.

I'd put that on our first half gameplan, soft cushions, and trying to Bro ball an outnumbered OL into 7 and 8 man fronts.

We changed it up at the half, dominated, pressed their receivers, and looked good.

You can add Bauman to the list of at fault as well. That lack of a block on the punt was inexcusable.

To the victor goes some credit, IU tackled well and that weird depth back shoulder to Becker were big.

Lastly, the refs can eat a ****. I stopped counting at 20 holds and PI calls that should've been made. We maybe had a quarter to half at best of what they got. Mendoza run up the middle, Bain crushes him for a loss if he wasn't held. Such bs, they called more holds on our returns than IU on offense.

What a run, it was fun.

we in good hands ... it may not come next time via two defensive ends, but it'll come again
I hope so, and I'm sorry for rambling but loosing the way we did is hard to fathom. I'm always U even over my ALMA Mater

The transfer portal changes the game. **** them rankings.

Development matters too.

Alabamas full off five stars and got their **** pushed in.

I wasn't talking recruiting rankings my guy.

And again, not blaming it on that. Was more so saying we beat some heavy hitters with less talent to get here.

The better coached team won tonight.

That was on Baumann who let the IU guy run by him. If he blocks his guy, it’s a normal punt.
