Cheez-it Score Pickin’ Time

Nope.

Now can you give me a team?
Yes. Will you answer my original question first:

Do you really, seriously and objectively think that Manny’s decision on Baker should come down to how the defense performs in this one game?

I did. The answer was nope

Miami - 41
OK State -31

I can see us giving up a ton of yardage on the ground, but keeping them out of the endzone when it matters.

Turnover chain will need to come out a few times.

Both King and Diaz said it best, the team that wants to be there, usually wins the game!!!

It looks like sharp money is on the Canes, line moved a full three points and is now Miami -0.5.

Somebody knows something we don't know

We roll

Your answer was not “nope”. It was
“I think we aren’t as good as 48-0 vs Duke or bad as the UNC game.”

As to your question:
I would obviously take Don Brown and Marcus Freeman over Baker. I’m putting those aside though so that I can go further.

One name and defense I am intrigued by is Kurt Mattix at San Diego State who runs a 3-3-5. I think it’s built for today’s game but I’d be curious as to what @Liberty City El and some others think about Mattix and the defensive scheme at SDSU.

I’d also look at David Reeves at UAB under Bill Clark and Scott Symons at Liberty under Hugh Freeze though I’d like someone with more establishment and experience than Symons.

Oklahoma State 38
Miami 31

I think we come out flat and uninspired (what’s new), while OSU does the opposite. I also think despite them having their RB out, they will still generate tons of offense because, Baker. We get something going on offense eventually but it will be too little too late.

Hardest game to predict in a while

If we show up, I think we are the better team and win 38-24

If we don't show up and pull another UNC or recent bowl game debacle, we could get blown the eff out and lose something like 45-17. Who knows.

What? There's more than enough EVIDENCE in the Orange and Green tinted pudding. duh. Because the vast majority of HC's would've CHIT-CANNED the Hurricane DC after that PUTRID, PATHETIC no-show performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nevertheless, mighty OK ST. isn't the pinball scoring juggernaut that mighty Carolina Blue is, but, if OK ST. just happens to score 8 or 10 or even 13 more points than their seasonal scoring average, then it behooves the diminutive coach from Calle Ocho, to hand his CHOSEN DC the proverbial pink slip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put money on the Cowboys. Hoping our Defense shows up, and I lose that money.
I'd put the brakes on that latter tout. Simply because mighty OK.ST. opened as a - 3 1/3 point chalk. But as of this AM, the point spread is now OK.ST. -1. Which indicates the Wise Guy SMART MONEY wagered on Miami. And in a " tight " point spread, that 2 1/2 swing suggest A LOT of dollars were wagered on Miami. Also, perhaps the Wise Guys obtained some INSIDER info' about the game this afternoon.

Nonetheless, bon chance on whichever team you decide to risk that TWENTY-TWO dollar wager on. LMFAO

And it all comes down to Baker's defense. Yes, it all comes down to Baker's defense.

Bottom line is IF the Hurricane defense shows up and Baker calls a decent game. Then the Hurricanes will break that bowl game losing streak. huh?

So I predict Miami wins the game in a relative comfortable fashion. Albeit the defense will start the game SLOW as usual. Ouch.
