The Hurricanes were particularly focused on defensive backs as Chauncey Washington, Jordan Hicks, Jalen Flowers, Ace Leutele, Jackson Parker and Zion Anderson all heard from Miami during the early-morning hours.

So did productive receivers DJ Tubbs, Hayden Koo and others as Miami looks to make a major impact with top names in California after landing five-star cornerback Donte Wright this recruiting cycle. The Hurricanes FaceTimed with Tubbs, who was excellent at the OT7 Finals over the weekend and that made a big impact.
