Charmar Brown [Not in Portal]

Pringle is great for ACC games. Second half cleanup guy to slice thru the fatigued defensive lines.

Too small for postseason games.
Today he is too small as we saw on the blitz pickup against OSU when Pringle was knocked back a few feet. But he still held off the blitzer, and had a run up the middle on the next play for 8 yards. But right now he’s not the pass blocking back they want to use when they have Fletcher and Brown. But Pringle is also a true freshman and will be a lot stronger next season.

Next year Mallory will be #2 back writing ont he wall! Chamar is a really good back deserves to be a feature back

Maybe. But I want competition at every spot. Don’t want any of our backs to transfer out until they’ve verifiably lost out on a head to head battle for snaps. I don’t think any of our younger backs — Lyle, Brown or Pringle — have separated from the others. And Mallory hasn’t taken a snap yet in college. I suspect someone may hit the portal but I hope they do not

I hear my bro, but that’s only you thinking of you. All these young man’s have dreams and aspirations and families to feed. They have to do what’s best for them especially when the writing is in the wall… nature of the best

I definitely see that point. But all these guys have multiple years left. Going against the best of the best is how you become the best yourself. If Lyle knows he's genuinely buried, yes, he should transfer. But is he? Neither Charmar nor Pringle are buried. We know both are going to get their snaps.

This is kind of the Jojo argument all over. We saw why Jojo isn't starting or getting major action as a WR. He was unreliable as both a blocker and pass catcher. Now he's doing excellently at his blocks. But he lost concentration a critical pass where he was open, turned up field too soon and dropped the ball. I'm sure there are similar explanations for why it took a few years for Samson or Moten. It's a win/win that all these guys have stayed.
