Charlie Strong

I was casting a ten weight in the wind last week and took a massive fly to the back of the head. Didn’t hook me but made me think about the joys of barbless.

Wifey and I were out with a guide and he was trying to help her casting. [Fly can throw a 12 wt into the backing so I was enjoying a Red Stripe] He stuck a Black Death in her right earlobe. I thought she was going to feed him to the hammerheads. When I went to remove it, It was through her ear-ring piercing. Cut off the barb and point and left it hanging there for stories at the bar......................

Bring him in to coach LB and give him a meaningless Co title to ensure he gets a couple extra bucks. He would instantly be a top recruiter on the staff.

manny’s inability to surround himself with a solid staff will be his downfall.

**** we should bring Radio back as DC before Scrong.

Shannon and strong would be better than this gimmicky crap I seen through 4 games
Shannon is too proud to come back and the truth is, he didn't make adjustments quickly enough when he was with us. He almost always allowed a running QB to gash us. I'll take Strong for the HC rebuild and the win!

Charlie is a good guy but he benefited from getting Bridgewater like Willie did with Flowers....parlayed it into a better job but Willie didnt get fired

Things are changing fast in college football. Success ten years ago doesn’t translate.
That's why I question the wisdom of those who say we should have brought back Butch either in 2006 or more recently. He was a great evaluator-recruiter. Game day coach? Maybe still unproven.

Somehow, coaches go through periods of great success then other coaches begin to catch up.

I would never advocate bringing Butch back as much as I liked him.

Running QBs gashed JJ. I remember Michael Taylor (I think his name was) at Michigan in '88. And there were others.
