Charlie Strong Fired

Starting to buy into the idea that you really are trolling your own board.

Diaz doesn't use his race as a recruiting tool and doesn't go into another state (especially Texas) and proclaim that one of the main objectives is to land the "Florida Five". At least Manny gets that we need to recruit well at home and attempts to seel the city and university.

Strong's Wife is White...never sat well in Texas...nor would of it sat well in Gainesville..

Paging Mr. Jagr. @PanamaCityCanes, please see the bold, red text.

Diaz says all he right things, which is more than Skrong. We will see how it all ends up but words alone Manny knows what to do.
“Words” fam stfu the product on the field is the worst I’ve ever seen here

Randy Shannon is a better DC than Skrong. Can do better than either, but if seriously looking at Skrong, then should just bring back Shannon instead.

I see somebody knows their football, the problem is, flake james is a coward, since shannon had to sue to get the money he was owed and flake knows they didnt support shannon, let's see if he has the balls to look coach shannon in the eye's and do the right thing. Not only do we only want recruits that want to be here, we need coaches like that as well, and coach shannon deserves to be the d-co if that job comes open, you cant have Miami football unless you got Miami style coaches to as well!

That was an awful take and borderline racist. Recruiting is sales and you use whatever connection you can.

You don't think if there was a five star Cuban recruit you wouldn't want Diaz using his connection to land that recruit?

Did you have a problem when Shannon did it?

I remember hearing UF fans say that same critique. Never understood it. Use whatever advantage you have in recruiting.

Cleveland is probably firing everyone at the end of the season. I'd see how much it costs for Tosh Lupoi. Miami needs that Polynesian connection on the staff. Start recruiting some big Samoans for OL.

Having grown in rural Georgia it is the same tactic I have seen used to discriminate against African Americans. There is a big difference between a coach saying that I grew up in the same neighborhoods as you (Randy Shannon) versus attacking the color of someone else.

Strong didn't do well because he didn't embrace Texas High School football. It is kind of common sense that football coaches embrace local coaching and recruiting, even if they don't truly think highly of it. Strong should have walked up to the podium and said that he wanted to coach Texas because they have the best high school football in America and that was because of the coaching these kids receive from youth league up. In fact every coach, no matter the state, should say the same thing. Instead Texas got the "Florida Five".
