change my mind: toney was caught from behind because he was gassed from being in every single play

A&M player got enough of his right foot to make it go behind the left, and that’s how he was tackled. Seems though that Toney started to veer towards the middle of the field and had he stayed towards the sideline more then he would’ve scored, and looking at the big screen doesn’t help either. I’m not gonna bash Toney, he’s everything we would want him to be. Afterall, he is supposed to be in high school right now 🤷🏼‍♂️. Just enjoy this win, it was a huge win and exactly what we needed to boost our program.

He wasnt caught from behind, gunner had angle and made diving ankle grabbing play, Its alot to ask #5 Scott but he was running forward to go help an already blocked man near endzone when he needed to peel back and just seal off last block Mali needed, he would of score in open field..
DT Scott? Running as blocker on punt return? **** of an athlete sheesh

if he had been used judiciously, he'd have fresh legs and wouldn't have gotten caught.

Don’t think that was the cause, but I will say our over reliance on Toney did harm us that game and I know every team wants to feed their star player the ball, but I’ve seen other guys step up enough in big moments this season to start looking away from Toney and go to Daniel’s or Marion, and even old reliable run game which is what won us the game.
