Pretty much lol. With injuries I tread lightly. I won’t speak on anything until I see it posted elsewhere or rumors running wild. Even though the 4-6 weeks guy was wrong. I’ll never put out the actual injury , that’s not my place or business. But can the lunatics here please be directed to this post?? Can we put it in bold? Pin it? Make it a pop-up when you login?
HE IS NOT OUT FOR THE SEASON
HE DIDNT TEAR HIS ACL
HE DIDNT RETIRE
HE DIDNT DIE
HIS CAREER ISNT OVER
For ***** sake, can anyone here read or interpret things? He’s got a few week injury. He should be back easily for ACC play. We’ll miss him for A&M, but he should be able to contribute at 100% for the bulk of the season. This isn’t Citizen. Relax.
They wouldn’t. I’m just saying “ 2-3 weeks is 100 % not true. If you’re going to put out info or be taken serious at least have legit info . Anything else is irresponsible.@Cribby Even if it was true why would they do it. Let the kid get 100% completely healthy before using him. Don't you think?
Coker said pre injury Gore was the best he’s ever seen . That tells you everything when you see who he coached in college. Literal goats. And I agree, Gore was different the minute he hit greentree
The fact that the scrimmage report was not much going and quick hitter passes and looking for the offense to create more explosive plays. Yes I get we need some WR to step up but TVD is a stud. He will get the most out of these guys. I’m just saying if you watched Michigan last year they leaned on folks which I like but if you don’t have the line to do that then you better have a lot more in the ****nal in your O to make up for that. **** we may be able to push around half our schedule but when push comes to shove vs A&M, Clemson and some other above avg competition I hope we can adjust. Why do you believe Gattis comfort zone is run heavy? When he first got to MI he was running what he ran at Bama as Co-OC but it didn't work because the QB was trash and the WR was questionable. He adopted to his personnel and that was the offense you seen last year with the wolverines
Agree. He was shifty but his strengths was vision , decisiveness and explosion. Portis knew the deal lol.I agree pre injury Gore was the best back I have ever seen at Miami but it wasn't because of his shiftiness. His acceleration and vision were insane. He would come thru the whole at what looked 20 mph. He would come in during the second half and just kill it of off one or two cuts. There was an obvious difference between him and Portis and Portis was a freak.
Imagine if someone would have said this about Frank Gore after he tore his ACL for a second time. Imagine if someone said that about Steph Curry when he started having ankle problems. We need to move on from him. I’m not saying cut him, but we can’t count on him to provide depth.
Imagine jumping to so many conclusions. Imagine thinking a point guard goes through the riggers a running back goes through. If don proves himself durable, then great. We need to carry corresponding depth until proven otherwise.Imagine if someone would have said this about Frank Gore after he tore his ACL for a second time. I'm convinced that our fans are the worst in collegiate athletics, because they are the most ignorant fans in collegiate athletics. Guys get hurt, some more so than others. We don't even know if it's a serious injury, from the initial reports, it's an injury that may keep Don out a couple of weeks. That could be a sprained ankle, it could be anything. I'm not writing a kid off, period. I hope he comes back, but this is why you build quality depth, which this RB room has.

Why don’t you keep a list of all the others who never panned put because of durability issues? Let’s just further a plan based on a couple outliers—one being from nonviolent sport. Why don’t you use your head and proceed based on reason instead of emotion.
Look what we uncovered. This guy is claiming not to be a fan. Player? Coach? Parent? An ankle to a PG is crucial. We should be carrying depth, REGARDLESS. Mario, like any competent coach would not build their entire O around one tailback. Why? Because that position has a limited shelf life. It's one of the most unprotected skill positions in modern football, they get killed in practice and in games, with little letup. Receivers and QBs are somewhat protected by the rules.
Amazing how some of our fans are running to the exits on players, like you are making decisions. You aren't. You are a fan. If he comes back, great, if not, it's next man up. That said, I'm not writing him off.
Greentree HOF. How many players have that banner over the years?Well according to dmoney and others last year in camp chaney had separated from rooster and cam and was the clear cut best back
Honestly who cares the amount of time out. It’s tiring all the people who think he’s Mcgahee and without him our season has changed. Like literally nothing has changed. He was 3rd in line at best coming into camp.@Cribby Even if it was true why would they do it. Let the kid get 100% completely healthy before using him. Don't you think?
If I have to tell u again…
Shut upGreentree HOF. How many players have that banner over the years?
He's out 6 weeksKid cant catch a break. Probably the last we see of him in a hurricane helmet.
Thanks for the update doc.4-6 weeks. He could return for A&M & play basically the entire season minus the two warmup games.
He's out 6 weeks
Love Rooster, but he's a change of pace back, not an every down back. He's the guy you bring in on passing downs or two-back sets, put in motion to get him out wide and exploit matchups, and give him 12-15 carries a game.Anyone with an eye for football already knew Rooster is the most talented back on the team. I hope Chaney gets well soon but even when he has been well, he hasn’t shown much for all the hype. Rooster carried the load at like 180 soaking wet over half of last year. Him Parrish and Thad should be more than fine and hopefully get Gattis out of his comfort zone of running heavy. I’m very skeptical of what he is willing and capable of running offensively and he has a big talent at QB.
