Chaney hurt again

That’s why I find the jokes and laughing at it kinda gross. I have a good friend who was legit Darren SproIes clone. 5’9 ( tad taller ) 200 , legit 4.4 and a absolute weight room freak. He kept having freakish injuries in HS to the point it broke his spirit. He just walked away. The guy who eventually took his spot had a ten year Nfl career. And was nowhere near as talented. Nobody tries to get hurt and it doesn’t mean you’re soft. It’s just how things hAllen some times.

When I heard the DC news yesterday my heart legit dropped. He was coming on strong and was starting to distinguish himself as the guy. Just like last year smh.
Will he be able to bounce back, you think? Could we see him in some ACC games this year?

Anyone think the practices have maybe become too physical?
Last year we lost two backs during the season, not before the season like now.

On the other hand, maybe the rewards of physicality exceed the risks of injury.

Running backs are the most vulnerable position…
If I remember correctly Oregon fans complained about injuries, I dont know if they wanted to blame S&C coach or Mario but if you want physical teams you have to do it in practice. This is gonna happen. They went into OSU and beat them so the result is there but they were missing some of their best players too..

150 play scrimmages, people will get banged up but what can you do. Have to take the pro with cons. Want to be physical, well guys will get banged up.

Hate injuries, man. They so often rob all of us of the chance to see some special talent. At the end of the day, I love football and love watching these guys display their gifts. It’s just fun, period. Sucks when they don’t get the opportunity because their bodies don’t hold up or some freak injury happens. The list is too **** long.

Sucks that Chaney body keeps failing him. If I remember right he had significant injuries in high school as well. We might have to look into the transfer pool again if it's possible. We would essentially be one RB injury away from diaster until Chaney is healthy

Feel for the kid. Nobody wants to be injured is so true. I had my thumb reconstructed and it did not happen while playing. Luckily never missed time. I was a grinder so I had to be physical, never stretched, never got injured. Go figure. Your "spirit" comment struck a chord. We had a super talented dude who could not stay out of the tub. Freak injuries. Kid caught an edge coming off a shift, tripped and separated his shoulder hitting the open door on the bench. I know how teammates feel when this happens. This kids spirit was tested as well. It sucked.

Tough break for Chaney, get healthy, keep battling.

4-6 weeks puts him right at the start of the ACC schedule.

Without knowing what injury is - my first thought is when you rush back from injury, a lot of times your body overcompensates and you injure something else.

Given Chaney's injury history - I would expect a very cautious approach to easing him back in.
