Chaney hurt again

That’s because you didn’t watch any games last year.

In fairness, he only played in 2 & avg. 4 ypc in those games. Right now, if I’m going to be honest, Don is more hype b/c of potential vs. actual production. He had 3 TDs on 4.6 ypc as a true freshman, playing as a back up. The hope would be him becoming a man as a sophomore, morphing into thee man this yr. That’s yet to come to fruition.

I want him long term, & hips can be tricky. I want to make sure he’s fully a-go vs. being rushed back & having something way more serious take place.

Go back and rewatch his highlights from last year. You will see a RB who doesn't go down on first contact, has a nice burst of speed and has good vision on where he wants to go.

Once again i6 - 8 weeks is the time frame. It’s been a week. Nothing has changed.MTSU at the absolute earliest , Unc is most likely. The injury will heal on its own and he’ll be back.

Thanks for sharing the info with us. Glad to hear it's not too serious. We don't need him for MTS that's for sure, no reason to rush back. But aTm will be a tough game on the RB's so it will be good to have him back right when we need him vs. UNC.

Am I the only one that when I see this thread bumped up to the top again thinks that oh **** he has been hurt again again again again again

Bro; it was 2 games.

Right now Don is a potential category. Not sure y folks on here have this cognitive dissonance of thoughts vs. reality. He rushed for exactly 11x for 44 yrds. What will that tell me? Nothing.

This is not any hate on him, & I do think he would be RB1 here if all things were equal, but partner u gotta be available to have a true assessment, not camp reports, & certainly not highlights on literally a couple of carries.

You know I respect you, but really… Than I’ll guess you’d be glad to know the morning he got hurt they had moved him to the first group. The play before he went down, he housed it for 50 yards. Yeah… he’s twice been moved to the first team in camp, because of potential. SMH

That’s my point, “potential.” Potential is a dangerous word, brody, especially in sports.

We know what his “potential” is, but it’s a loaded word w/o the results, yet. All I’m saying is potential doesn’t mean much when it’s relegated to green tree. I think the world of Don, & it’s big loss, but its also why I had the RB room in the optimistic category & not the superior category b/c of the injury bug.
