Like Pete said earlier this is brad and chad's team now and we haven't had leaders like those guys in a while
Yeah because Duke and Denzel weren't leaders

I hate to say it but.... Brad and Chad will be better leaders than Duke... And are already making a bigger impact in terms of recruiting while being on the team. Duke did it before the team but not after. We all know what he was saying to recruits after he was on....
Who have they gotten to prove the are better recruiters? and what they have done besides talk about being a leader?
You guys are so gullible. Sorry beat UVA and Pitt and shut it. Then say something. Been hearing this every single year. Sorry action speaks louder than words. Chad has zero sacks in his career. Dont want to hear

+100000
Duke and Denzel hit the ground running and wasn't consistent their entire careers here. Our fans are quick to turn on them which is ashame. At least the produced. Chad hadn't produced yet. And although Kaaya had good stats he hasn't shown that he can lead the team yet. We will see this year. Action speaks louder than words...
Those two are going to turn this into a top 5 class.
I might be wrong and things obviously change once you're on a team but I kinda remember Chad specifically not recruiting other kids when he was a recruit. Seem to remember some specific comment he made about it. Not an indictment on him but just interesting if he's basically having to do a coach's job now in relation to saving this class.

That won't happen. Top 10 class though is certainly possible if Chad and Brad close. Top 5 would require a lot of kids to flip to us. We were on pace for potentially a top 5 class I. August but we all k iw hiw that turned out

No offense but top 10 is not possible.

Sorry to say..but they weren't. Especially Denzel. This team didn't need a "leader by example". We were not that mentally strong as a unit to have a leader like that. Sean Taylor lead by example and never talked much because that 2003 team was mentally tough. Reggie Wayne and Damione Lewis led that 2000 team by example. They were mentally tough.
Ed Reed and Michael Irvin led by example AND made their presence known. Got in someones face when warranted or when they weren't doing their job. I was so sick of hearing guys say, "Well, its not the coaches fault, guys were freelancing too much and not sticking to the scheme." Ok...So what did you do about it? What do you think Jon Vilma would have done if someone freelanced and did whatever the ***** they wanted on his defense?
So yes, were they very good-great players for us? Of Course. Were they great leaders? The kind this team needed? No.
Love Kaaya but he doesn't strike me as a get in your face/ real vocal type of leader.
