I feel bad for the players. They are getting coached by these guys.

I understand why Ridley & those guys chose other schools. A 3-4 defense in south Florida? That doesn't make sense..... Other than staying in your hometown, or being a Miami fan, what else prompts a recruit to come? Great coaches? Facilities? Game atmosphere? They just don't stack up against the big boys.

I hope another job opens up and Al golden takes it this time, and takes D'Onofrio with him.

Yeah because being coached by Dono and Golden ruined Muhammad Wilkerson's career, before Golden and Dono got to Temple, they were sending players like crazy to the NFL, then they got there and ruined Wilkerson's career. He is flipping pizza's now, and so is Terrance Knighton. Also I just saw where Denzel Perryman is listed as the #1 MLB for the 2015 draft. I can't believe Golden and Dono did that to him? How dare them? Now Denzel can play a 4-3 LB or 3-4 LB, which inflates his value and stock. Can't believe they did that to Denzel.

You only named 3 players. 70-82 players on scholarship and only 3 guys you develop? That's horrible....
 
Hopefully we get some real coaches in here next year so Chad's career isn't ruined. I feel badly for him.

Well jawain jarrett went 2nd round, Benard pierce went 3rd round, Evan Rodriguez 4th, and we're talking about Temple who had NO talent when he got there, NONE.

Trent Harris, who is a far inferior talent IMO, was getting lots of burn too. That's why I kept looking for 9 out there and nothing really... Insane.
 
He is not FAT enough yet, unless you put on enough weight so you are too slow and useless, you do not get on the field.

That's right, when the fabled and beloved Jimmy Johnson was here, all 72-80 players became superstars and first round draft choices. Each and every one. And they all went on to fabulous NFL careers, where they made millions. Like Rod Carter, who last I heard, was driving a UPS truck. or one of our great OLs from the '80's (it might have been Shayon Trezvant or someone else like that) who became a police man or security guard. Not that there's anything wrong with any of the aforementioned occupations, which are respectable and necessary, but guys who have made millions after their illustrious NFL careers don't need to drive delivery trucks.

You know, I'm glad we didn't have internet back in the '80's, because this board and all the others would have crucified the guy we now regard as a candidate for sainthood, Jimmy Johnson, before he finally won an NC with the '87 team. After that loss in the '87 Fiesta Bowl (the '86 team), people would have been merciless in calling for the guy's scalp (which would probably take the whole Apache nation to remove, cutting through all that slick stuff).

to be fair, Harris is a lot better at covering receivers than Chad is.

now, a better question and a one that has not been answered is, "why is our defensive end covering a wide receiver?"

Louisville had that one play and that's the one where Dorsett got big yards; you never saw that again.

but here in Miami, we have been seeing that for the past four years.

Yeah i will be that one to say this Chad is the Best DE we would have on the team as a true freshman in a 4/3. A good coach learns to adapt to what he has on the field. You take DBs like Tracy , Burns and Elder to play them 10 yards off the ball. You dont take Duke fatten him up to try to make him a big 10 RB. Hate to compare Duke to Nole but he's a Warrick Dunn type running back with Hester skill set on Kickoff Returns a real game changer. Not change him to fit your stupid *** O and take everything he is good at to make him slower. Gus is that guy who is suppose to be abb to carry the bulk of the loads but he is soft. Duke should get like 15 touches and continue to kill it on special teams. Yearby 15 Carries and Choc the rest of the load. Move gus to LB or just do what they do best get him fat and move him to DE
