Chad absolutely balled out this game.. he created pressure inside, outside.. they lined him up at DT on 3rd down... he really played exceptional.. also not sure if anyone noticed but when Mcintosh was in they ran counters his way often and busted big gains.. kid was just flying upfield going for sacks.. meanwhile Chad played disciplined and really got after it all game.. may have not shown in the stat sheet but kid was special tonight

they were constantly holding chad and he still created multiple pressures, ended up with 2 sacks and multiple tfls. Monster game for him for sure.

Much better game from last week. That's the Chad we need to have the rest of the season

We should be able to keep Blackmon out of the pocket and on the ground against FSU's Swiss cheese OL. I we don't have a Bradley Chubb, but we certainly have a deep group of player makers who will give him problems all day long.

on one play, someone stunted inside and got tackled. was there a flag? nope. we are the most held team in college football. as great as our d ends are, we rarely draw a holding call. it's fascinating.

I rewatched the game late last night and Miami's DEFENSE overall was really good!! Chad Thomas was a force out there tonight, I rewatched the game and notice that he was basically unblockable, he was the main reason Joe Jackson made so many plays, Duke couldn't contain CT9 so they tried different ways and it opened up other players.. BUT CT9 had a very good game on the defensive front last night!!

CB-Young is a very young CB, but this kid is going to be a elite CB in CFB real soon, he just needs to improve on a few things and get better week to week and this kid will be considered a top CB in CFB!! LB-Pickney doesn't get much talk BUT the fans know this kid is probably our best LB, this guy just plays like he came from the old school Canes, he is another guy that will be considered one of the best in CFB after he improves on some things (along with the beast Quarterman).. AND DE- Jackson, this kid put on a show against Duke last night..

Yep once again he wasn't accredited a sack last night. Seriously, does anyone on here know the person in charge of the box score? Every year there is a game or two that is missing stats. Chad Thomas definitely had a sack last night yet it is not reflected in the stat column on our home site

[TWEET][/TWEET]Another guy thats really coming along is Bethel! He gets through the o line with ease. Hes going to be unstopable soon.

He should be always be kicked inside on passing downs. He's not a true edge rusher but his quickness and power works inside. Let JJ, Toolbox, Garvin, DJ and Jackson work the edge.

I also love what Bethel is giving us on Passing downs.

Chubb who? We got the firm of Thomas, Jackson, McIntosh and Norton

We can actually run stunts and twists with Chad inside too....

Joe Jackson? I think he is on the chubb level

Where are the posters that were saying Chad shouldn't start?

I've never said he shouldn't start but I've been critical of him. He's clearly go the talent, size and speed but can never finish. Yesterday he whiffed a couple time despite having the RB and QB right there for a TFL/Sack. That being said yesterday was his best game in a Cane uni IMO and I hope they keep using him inside.

The problem is, people don't watch film or they just forget, because he was arguably our best DLineman last year as well.

He didn't have the high sack numbers that JJack had last year, but he lead the team in TFL's & FF's, was stout against the run, set the edge of the Defense on the strong-side & did so all while playing most of last year with a broken hand.

People just hold it against him because he's successful in the rap game too, but I been telling yall MajorNine was a beast & doesn't deserve all the unfair criticism that gets thrown his way, same thing with Walton.

Chubb was a wrecking ball that game.
