Bring in a high energy DC that gets out of players' ways, attack, attack and attack the offense some more. We need to listen to the players, something which Golden did not. Let the players play ball, keep the pressure on, don't be afraid of making mistakes and let the players have fun. I'd rather give up a long play every now and then by attacking and keeping the offense guessing than laying back in a prevent mode scared of a long play and giving up 500 yards and 30 points a game. THAT's IS NOT THE CANES WAY!!

One second is an eternity in football, especially when you're playing defense...the time it takes to read and then react to a play can mean a long gain, which is why our defenders looked like they were running in quicksand on big plays opposing offenses would regularly enjoy. keep it simple and let the south florida athletes be the savages they are.

That is the main key. Pressure on QB=Less time for QB to think=QB happy feet/quick decisions=shorter field for defense/DBs to cover=Aggressive DBs=QB mistakes=QBs with migrane headaches= "U" wins, wins, wins
