CFP Week 1 Rankings - Nov 3

Not gonna lie.... the soft shvt im reading on this thread is sickening. Bro, we're #1 and yall worried about ******* nd and wf..... FVCK EVERY TEAM THAT'S RANKED BELOW US. At this very moment, these rankings are absolutely pointless because WHEN we finish the season undefeated, we are GUARANTEED a top 4 ranking which gives us a bye, THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS.

boy I can't believe it's notre dame week and some of y'alll can actually type out hypotheticals of us losing SMH

yall some str8 up BVTCHES!!!!!!

SEC is so overrated that the committee has to put 5 in this year to give them a better chance.

Remember- 5 last year and none made it to the natty with 2 out in round one and 2 more in quarters. Lol

Lots of 9-3 sec teams over 12-1 or 11-2 acc just doesn’t make sense.

Pretty schocked at the rankings ngl, the comittee usually does have an SEC bias but they most certainly have a TV viewership bias, these rankings suck in general, boring playoff matchups imo, unless theyre trying to sabotage to show how "great" the 24 team playoff would be

This committee putting ND at 11 is gold. Pretty much told them beat Miami or you’re out the playoffs lol. Being able to ruin another ND season is a chefs kiss for Miami.
Correct, but also means if Miami loses they have to win out and win the ACCCG to qualify for the playoffs.

The SEC doesn't have the slim margin of error. UCLA is screwed because if they lose a game they drop.

Wake got hosed.

All this points to is ESPN and the CFP are in bed with the SEC to make each other money. As long as the ranking system and the media are in bed with the SEC the sooner the game will die. Why bother anymore when everything is stacked in favor of the SEC?

I can assure you if we lose to Notre dame we need to win the ACC cause if not we don’t get it at 11-2

A win over Notre dame is a necessity cause with the way our defense is playing we can lose to anyone and a loss in the ACC title game will have us like byu last year

Been saying this since week one. Miami has two must win games and must win one - The ND game or ACCCG. If Miami goes 11-1 and loses the ACCCG and is a 2 loss team without conference championship, they are not getting in.

Maybe. Maybe not.

Hypothetically, let’s say we lose to ND. How far will we drop? 5 spots? 6 spots? Keep in mind that no team has fallen more than 5 spots after losing as the #1 ranked team. So let’s assume we are ranked #6 after losing to ND. Now assume we win the remaining ACC regular season games finishing the regular season at 11-1. That means we will finish the regular season ranked #5 or better since one or more teams ranked ahead of us will likely lose a game during the final 3 weeks of the season.

Now let’s say we lose a close game to WF in the ACCCG. Do we tumble past #11 in the final rankings? Keep in mind last year Bama suffered their third loss of the season after getting crushed in a rematch with UGA, yet did not drop a single spot in the final rankings. I recognize we are not Bama and we are not in the SEC, but not sure we drop more than 6 spots by virtue of playing an extra and somewhat meaningless game.

I’m not saying we still get in with losses at ND and the ACC Championship game, but it would not surprise me if we grabbed one of the final spots simply because of where we are currently ranked right now.

With that said, we are going to beat ND on Saturday night and this will become a moot point.

Moving to the big10 may not be enough even with the big10 winning the last 3. Sec is going to get more TV money in 2030 leaving the other p4 behind. That said, adding Miami and ND to the b10 would have an impact on TV and rankings. Miami is in a good spot to get a full cut.

Get rid of the stupid *** committee and make a **** computer model. Or 3 and average them out.

Too much bias and too many agendas to push to rely on a room of idiots.
whats funny is I did research recently and the whole thing that started this was LSU vs alabama in 2011-2012. All i had heard was about how the computers were flawed and we should have never had a rematch.

Funny enough the truth is that the computer picked LSU vs Okie st and it ended up getting overuled by the two human polls (AP and the coaches poll) which had the rematch. So all of this started blaming the BCS when it was really the human polls that ****ed it up and gave us even more human manipulated way of choosing the playoff teams.

Big10 vs sec should be required if expansion occurs. All 24 in both have to play 1 or 2 from the other conference. I don’t care if it is rivalry games or not. Keeping Miami vs FSu would be good for football.
