CFP Week 1 Rankings - Nov 3

That is not what I am arguing.
My argument is would they be ahead of Miami with a better record and a blowout win in Charlotte. That is not a guarantee.
if Miami loses to ND, who is ranked 11, they will drop like a stone... There are no games vs ranked teams to boost them back up. An ACC championship vs Wake (ranked 18) won't do it. It's clear the "losses" of the SEC teams ahead of Wake are better than the "wins" in the ACC

All I know is that at this point last year almost everyone here thought ND was going to get in over Miami.

Heck, even on the last weekend of the season people were saying Miami was out.

I was one of the few to say without a doubt we would be in.

I think the same applies to this conversation. Way too many people here are believing what they want to believe instead of being patient and pragmatic.

Just don’t see it. UCLA is undefeated and has multiple teams ahead of them.
SEC with two losses barely beating another two loss team would not be an automatic seeding.
Or at least not automatic ahead of Miami destroying whoever in Charlotte.
Idk what else to tell you other than just watch. If it plays out like I said, I’ll end up being 100% right

Heading into this initial ranking, I was convinced if we lost to ND we wouldn't drop to more than 6-7 which would mean a home playoff game. Now, we're looking at going not only going on the road but 0 margin for error with an L, even in the ACCCG. Them putting ND at 11 makes this Saturday even bigger.

If you think there won’t be at least 2 theee loss SEC teams in this playoff based off of those rankings and what they CFP chair head said … you are delusional.

I am saying there’s way too much football to be played to come to that conclusion.
Especially not knowing how many two loss teams from other conferences there are. Or one loss teams.

I am not a betting man.

And if Iwere I do not care about your hair.
Ok I was just thinking of something stupid that avoided money. But let’s just check receipts in two months.

I just don’t understand how you can’t see perfectly how they have-are setting this up to get as many SEC teams in as possible but you be naive all you want.

It is because all the variables and unknowns make me hesitate to agree with that assumption.
There could be lots of two loss and one loss teams that get in over a three loss SEC team.

I can assure you if we lose to Notre dame we need to win the ACC cause if not we don’t get it at 11-2

A win over Notre dame is a necessity cause with the way our defense is playing we can lose to anyone and a loss in the ACC title game will have us like byu last year
