That’s not how it was sold. No idea where you got thatThe CFB playoff should be 6 teams. We were sold it saying the at large group of 5 team would now get in and has yet to do so lol

Every year # 4 gets destroyed in the first round of the playoffs. I do not see anybody 5 thru 8 especially #8 Georgia a serious contender to win it all. As far as Ohio st the committee should punish them they made their bed so let them lie in it. If Miami ends up #8 do you think they could win it all?Id like to see it just for this year to see how it works out. This season has been such a cluster fck and I feel like teams like BYU and Cincinnati should get rewarded for not being pussies like a few other conferences. I mean how bad is it going to suck if we win out and are sitting around 5-8 in the country and were pumped in with a few other teams with 1 loss. If that were to happen how ****ed would you guys be if Ohio stank gets in to the play off with only playing a handful of games. They dont deserve to be in the playoff no matter how they end up.
I know some of you guys dont like a play off system like I suggested but ****t id really like it to be a 16 team play off system but id take 8 for now.
No need. Cincy & BYU can just win out and claim National Titles on their own like UCF did.Id like to see it just for this year to see how it works out. This makes sense.No. Bigger the expansion the more losses teams like bama get yearly. I like season games meaning something
So teams like from G5 never will get in ?This makes sense.
An 8 team playoff would give the usual teams the benefit of the doubt after two or three losses. (Bama and OSU would perennially be in it essentially.)
Or it would give us seasons of 4 teams from the SEC or something stupid like that.
I don't think many people want to see that.
More than likely. Especially if they keep the special committee selection show process crap.So teams like from G5 never will get in ?
I totally agree with what your saying, I just see them eventually expanding to 8. For money for playoff games.More than likely. Especially if they keep the special committee selection show process crap.
Maybe they will throw a team a bone every once in a while but I believe they would just give the nod to SEC multiple teams in most years.
I believe one of the reasons is the money gets split into smaller parts. The total pot won't get bigger.
This year will be interesting as it is. California - Rose Bowl - may become an issue as a site. Cali is tightening up everywhere right now.
Not going to happen this year, but I think 8 teams is the way to go. Power 5 conference winners and 3 at large. Maybe make a rule that 3 teams from one conference could not all go.
Yes it was they said the BCS would never allow an undefeated group of 5 team to compete for a Natty but the playoff would. Which has yet to be seen. I think now this is why people now want a 6 or 8 team playoff to get those teams in during a year they are undefeated. Like BYU and Cincy this year both will go undefeated and be left out yet again. That’s not how it was sold. No idea where you got that
Yup this would have the best year to test expansion and see what it would look like.this would have been the perfect year for a 8 team playoff honestly
Usually the argument is the smaller schools have no chance against the big boys. Well usually they don't, but we remember the Boise State win over Oklahoma, we remember Villanova and NC State in March madness. You know, they had no shot either.Ncaa football is the only sport where you can go undEfeated and have zero shot at the big prize. Fvck a conference championship.
In any normal sport, a division/ conference title is an automatic playoff spot. Not in the corrupt world of college football.
16 teams. 11 conference champions and 5 at large. Start the playoffs the week after conference championships. Keep ALL OF THE BOWLS. Either incorporate them into playoff rounds or fill them with playoff losers to play in late Dec/Jan.
Otherwise, make g5 its own division with its own championship. Expand p5 to eight teams with 3 at large.
College football gets even bigger.
