I think we're getting in. The overwhelming sentiment is Miami and ND should be in, which I agree with. Alabama has to be the team out.

I always said this. Replace the ADs (sports business people) with retired coaches. Let Saban, Jimbo, etc. Decide and explain their decisions. Football people not business people

A lot of this comes down to whether the leader of a conference is respected or not. Sankey obviously has a lot of pull, but if the committee or anyone in cfb) respected Phillips they would put Miami in on principle.

That poll was really released after the fact so I agree it’s no help. The selections were surely made before that poll was released.

Gives the SEC/Big a victim to say, see they’re not even in our conference and they got hosed. They’ll use it as a springboard to further slant the CFP to the P2 under the guise of making it more fair for everyone.

Yeah I thought I'd wake up to see odds had flipped in our favor. I guess it's possible that the CFP has plugged the leaks and no one really knows for sure, since Bama isn't a stone cold lock either so close to the announcement? One can hope/cope.
