The lesson here for nd is you live and die by the fact you’re not in a conference. You can’t lose to the 2 toughest teams on your schedule, rattle off 10 wins against cupcakes, and then expect to be gifted a spot
To be fair they would 100% be in if Duke didn't beat Virginia for the ACC.

Committee had to include at least one ACC rep. I don't care what they say, that result is what got us in.

They created a fake barrier saying we had to be right next to ND to compare us.

To quote @insaneinthecane ”the committee dropped byu because of their performance in the championship game, but didn’t punish bama for their performance.”
And has anyone mentioned the FSU loss? Highlight the great win at UGA. Sure. But they also had easily the worst loss amongst the 3. Topic off limits apparently.

I 100% agree - the ACC was not going to be left out and Duke winning forced the committee's hand. But I also think that ND lives and die by the sword of independency. Yes they get to make their own schedule but you also don't get the protection of ensuring a conference gets representation.

And Manny doesn't get the Duke job without having Miami HC on his resume.
