Doesn't really affect us but,
The rankings are so biased...setting up a 1 loss UGA and 2 loss LSU to get in over a 1 loss Clemson ACC champ or a 1 loss USC Pac 12 champ.
How can a 2 loss LSU, with a loss to Florida state and a BLOWOUT loss to Tenn (40-13) be ranked 5th while a 1 loss USC, who has a 1 point loss to Utah, be ranked 6th? Or while a 1 loss Clemson be ranked 8th?
In the end I don't think it'll matter because LSU will lose to UGA..
Look at TCU. They're itching to drop them out for 2 loss LSU and Bama.
Alabama is the one that really gets to me because they might actually get in with two losses, ONE win over a ranked opponent (#20), all while dodging a 3rd loss by failing to even play in their conference title game.
LSU is going to get stomped by UGA
USC could lose against ND or in Pac 12 championship game
Michigan or Ohio St will get a loss by default
TCU could lose against #12 K-State
Next up is Alabama.
I REALLY don't understand the hate for TCU. Its funny how they had no problem with Tennessee going from unranked to #1 for beating St Alabama, while TCU has to pray daily they stick at #4.
If they lose in their conference championship game to #12 K-State, I guarantee idle Alabama will jump them.
I understand that TCU has beaten 1
currently ranked opponent (K-State). But that one win over #12 is still better than Alabama's one current top 25 win over #20.
The SEC fluffers on ESPN keep demanding that everyone acknowledge Alabama's opponent's "ranking at the time they played."
Which.. If ESPN wants to look at schedules that way, then fine by TCU. They beat #18, #19, #8, #12, #18, which is already better than Alabama's schedule, before we even point out that Bama lose to two best teams they played.
And as stated above, even IF TCU loses their conference championship game, it would be to #12 K-State, who would jump up into the top 10, making TCU's lone loss a "good loss."
TLDR: the committee doesn't apply their rules and formulas evenly or fairly. The SEC always gets a name boost.
