CFB Playoff show

This weekends picks from me.

Miami wins
UGA wins
OU wins
Whisky wins

Those are also the teams I believe make the playoffs

I will take Auburn over UGA and Ohio State over Wisky

I feel like rematch games are always tough. That’s why I bet Clemson last year in the title it’s hard to bet the same team twice in a season. Especially good teams like the current CFB TOP 10

They lost to a team that lost to Troy.

With an undefeated Big 10 and 1 loss Big 12 school behind them and Miami at 7 with a better loss than #1 .

Dude, UNC beat Pitt... that loss was pathetic, and not better than clemson losing to syracuse with their backup qb....

At this point, it doesnt matter! Win and we’re in!

LOL at excusing Clemson's loss because Kelly Bryant got hurt.

Dude isn't Baker Mayfield. No excuses to lose a game to a 4-8 team. None.

Pot meet kettle.

No one is excusing Miam's loss to Pitt. We're paying dearly for it. People are walking Clemson's loss off because Bryant was hurt.

I didnt excuse their loss because I dont ******* care about them, but to say our lost was a better one that is just plain stupidity, period.

We played a ****** team playing a true freshman and go beat by 2 possessions.

Clemson played a ****** team in an hostile stadium, lost by 3 pts even with their qb getting ko’ed worse than that gt player!

Both are pathetic but ours look way worse!

The scenario I think/hope happens:

1 vs 7: Miami
2 vs 6: Auburn
3 vs 11: Oklahoma
4 vs 8: Ohio State
5 Inactive
9 Inactive
who cares past that

New 1: Auburn
New 2: Oklahoma
New 3: Miami
New 4: Bama

Fan base with pitch forks and torches out: New 5 Ohio State ****ed off about non conference champ Bama getting in over a conference champ in an unrepresented conference, despite having more season losses.

Scenario if all those picks are wrong except Miami:

New 1: Wisconsin
New 2: Georgia
New 3: Miami
New 4: Bama

Auburn - no reason to complain, they have 3 losses and didnt win their conference
Ohio State - same as auburn
Clemson - same as those two (but two losses)
TCU - Only argument is that they won the conference, but with more losses than Bama, suck an egg.

Miami beat Syracuse without Walton

Media are real good at finding excuses

They might jump Clemson over Bama if Auburn wins. Think about it. Clemson beat Auburn who beat Bama. Bama needs either OU and Wisconsin to lose. Because if Wisconsin lose to Ohio St and we win. I think we will replace Wisconsin and Clemson remain in the 4.

Personally I want total chaos. Where 1,2,3 and 4 lose. That be sweet to watch. Lmao

what is reynolds smoking?

hocutt mentioned how important conference championships were like 3 times

if Ohio State wins, they will be left out, i don't see how they can get in with that iowa loss.

how do you leave out alabama in a loss over the #2 team when ohio state got lucky they are in a sh*tty conference (therefore easy title) and iowa put the double nickel on that defense and schiano.

no way people can say ohio state looks better

I agree with this. Ohio State was favored by 21 at Iowa and lost by 31, on top of already losing by 15 at home to Oklahoma while favored by 7.5.

If the alternative was some upstart school I could see the committee somehow justifying Ohio State, but not when it's Alabama sitting there.

JT Barrett is not very good but he's likely just good enough to make enough plays to narrowly get past sputtering Wisconsin. That's what happened last season. Wisconsin had a 10 point halftime lead and chances to put the game away at home but after they failed multiple times Barrett and Ohio State won in overtime.

Ohio State's path to the playoff requires them beating Wisconsin, Oklahoma losing to TCU, and a prayer.

We beat Clemson in a close game, Clemson's getting in if one of Wisconsin or Oklahoma loses. That means the final spot comes down to Alabama/Oklahoma/Ohio State.

The committee has shown all year they don't like Oklahoma's defense, so even though they beat Ohio State, I think the Sooners would be out. Ohio State has the conf championship and at least 1 Top 10 win against the Badgers, so they'd probably get in, even over mighty Alabama.

All that madness happens, it'd be 1-SEC champ, 2-Miami, 3-Ohio State, 4-Clemson (to avoid the ACC rematch).

Go Canes.

I’m guessing you don’t want Georgia to make the playoffs so they continue not to win the big games. But I think it would be much sweeter for CMR to beat Georgia. Since I hate Ohio Taint and Bama more than the other teams in contention I need for Oklahoma, Georgia, whisky and The U to take care of that business.
1 Oklahoma
2 Wisky
3 Georgia
4 Miami

Miami can beat OU! They don’t play DEFENSE Miami does and Miami can score.
Exactly them Sooners have been living on the edge all season without playing no defense
In a **** conference so f@ck yeah The U can definitely take these posers!!! Let’s take care of them Tigggers first.. Go Canes!!!

I could see one tram getting in over bama. No way two teams get over saban

Ohio state is dead in the water, Oklahoma owns the tiebreaker head to head over Ohio state and H2H matters more than conference championship I would imagine

We won games all year long without a healthy Walton and Richards, and no bye week when we desperately could have used one. Throw in the adversity we faced because of the hurricane... Yeah, they are getting WAY too much of a pass for their Syracuse loss.

The media may be overplaying the OSU angle for dramatic effect (and knowing Delaney, B1G commish, is powerful) but that Iowa ugly loss is hanging around their neck and they can’t shake that. That 31-0 drubbing last year won’t help. I think AL gets the nod over OSU in any situation.

Interesting is the committee’s refusal to acknowledge Clemson losses. When Clemson loses this weekend they can still get in with two (ghost) “losses”? Over 1-loss AL and WI (assuming they failed to win conference like Clemson)? This would scream “We give special nods to past champions and cult of personality coaches!” (How come they’re not factoring in that UGA would have lost to the same team that some say is the best in the country twice? Why do UGA losses count?)

I don’t want UGA, AL, OSU or Clemson in the final 4. OK/Auburn, WI, Miami. Almost prefer Auburn to be #1 because they will choose New Orleans to play Miami. Don’t know what OK would do, they could choose Sugar or Rose. B1G fans are used to the Rose Bowl.

The new scenario playing is now is that #1 Clemson could survive a loss and still stay in the 4 spot.

That’s unbelievable. This injury excuse for their loss is BS. We could make the same case for Malik being handicapped because it just wasn’t his day.

I don’t think either Auburn or UGA should get in. UGA has been embarrassed already, the fact they get a second chance after winning the worst division in CFB is an embarrassment in itself.

Auburn couldn’t get it done against Clemson. Fine. But to blow a 20pt lead in one half on the road, that’s one too many infractions.

Bama has been slighted here, one quality loss. Should be overlooked imo. If anyone deserves the shot out of the SEC it should be them.

Those ******** will put Taint in if it kills them.

alabama fans and OSU fans accusing each other of getting preferential treatment is like two serial killers accusing each other of being murders. both of these teams get a disproportionate benefit of the doubt.

I don't get why this outrages so many people on this board......If Clemson shouldn't be #1 then who? Whose case for #1 is better? Auburn who Clemson Beat? OU, who lost at home to an Iowa St team whose QB (a Maxwell Watch List guy) left the team a day before the game?

People are mad that maybe any of these teams might get in:
11-2 Clemson with wins at #20VT and beat #2 Auburn...but a bad loss to Syracuse
11-1 Bama will still get in with 1 quality win against an LSU team that lost to Troy at home.
11-2 OSU with wins against #4 Wisc, #9 PSU, #19 MSU but blowout losses to OU at home and and demolishing by a mediocre Iowa

If OSU beats Wisc.....One of these teams will have to be #4 .......If OU loses to TCU....maybe 2 of these teams may have to be chosen

I don't get what people want.....a new rule to cut down the playoff to 3 or 2 teams in this case?
