I saw a guy on Twitter whose “name” is “FIRE SHANNON GUIDRY!!”

We are 26-6 in our last 32 ballgames. Do you know how much of an unhinged societal liability you have to be to intentionally go into your Twitter account and edit your name to that? These are some of our fans.

I’m not saying the guy is bulletproof, but he’s been here 3 full seasons, and in those, we have:

1. Had the best offense in school history and the entire country with essentially zero NFL skill talent outside of Cam and Arroyo

2. Got within 40 yards of a national championship (yes, the defense was insane, but you can’t get to that game being useless on a side of the ball)

3. Coordinated a Top 30 offense with Tyler Van Dyke (works in the concession stand at SMU), Emory Williams (wears a baseball cap at East Carolina), and Jacurri Brown (where’s he playing now? Saginaw Valley A&T?)

And so far this year, if the season ended today, we would 100.0% have TWO Heisman trophy finalists, both from the offense.

We’re also 3-0.

Maybe a smidge of perspective, perhaps.

Even a nerd cannot totally avoid his fandom clouding his judgement. New Mexico State lost 19 to 29 to Hawaii recently.

Pleasant rarity to find a SOS calculator that doesn’t overload on B1G and SEC propaganda. Snapshot shows it holds IU’s (ofc w/ only 9 p4 games) and even UGA’s (10 p4 games) schedule in much lower regards than others. Moreover, they believe this VT team is very good and should already be ranked.

Vt was one of my teams in conference that I thought would be pretty good, Their offense is very good early and their defense is high on havoc but have given up some plays also so their O will carry them pass D is weak but they got fat on sack stats against weak comp. Their QB looks very legit can click thru reads, throw on time and has arm talent and can run a qb draw here or there.. Their TE already looks like best in ACC in like 2 games played. If someone wants to see TE play.. I dont think their schedule is tough, will be alot of juice on that game I imagine.

Defensive stats skewed by VMI and OD. They weren't nearly as dominant against Maryland. Gave up over 400 yards. Only 2 sacks in that game. Also didnt force any turnovers.

yeah that TE is legit. He was a five star so he might be the best in the country.

Duke keeps surprising me however not on the bandwagon yet.

Lowkey Friday is a big test for JKS. He has all the tools and flashes for stretches however he isn’t consistently elite like some others yet. Cal should put a hurtin to a weak clemson squad. I have them as a sleeper team, just don’t know if they’ll wake up in time. Might be a next year thing.

Yea Im aware, just something to keep eye on. They have some injuries also and like most first year, they dont have depth. But HC who brings over team and QB seem to be a decent bet for much better than people expect. Their qb is still very underrated, if they can keep him relatively clean they will do work. It was 35-14 going into 4th and they got the final td to make it seem respectable but VT literally emptied the stadium on them. Dominant of not, they werent doing that before.
