"The Central Connecticut Blue Devils (1-2) travel to Florida to face the Miami Hurricanes (1-2). Both teams look to rebound after suffering blowout losses this past weekend. The Blue Devils, in front of a near capacity crowd of 3,100 fans, fell handily to S.E. Louisiana 56-10 in a game that was ultimately over by halftime. Miami's contest with Mich St. was a much closer affair until the fourth quarter, where the Spartans outscored the Canes 21-3 on their way to a 38-17 victory, in what would be Miami's third blowout loss in its last five games.
If the Blue Devils are to contain a talented Miami running attack, they'll need stellar performances from defensive lineman Mike Morrissey 6'-1" 195lbs and Shayne Manson 6'-2" 210lbs. Also, returning this week from injury is defensive tackle Rob Schork. The 6'-3" 220 lb redshirt freshman's return will be much needed in the CCSU bid to contain Miami's offense.
