CBS Predicts Miami wins #6 over Ohio State

It’s fine that you shared that with us. My post was more about the following comments. It sure sounded to me like people were literally counting on not only a playoff appearance, but winning the natty.

Maybe I was reading the comments incorrectly, but it sure seemed like there was a lot of over the top enthusiasm, or as Alan Greenspan might’ve said “irrational exuberance“.

That’s all. The post wasn’t a shot at you.

Believe me, I’m enjoying our current success, and I’ve been obnoxiously loud at every game. So I’ve had a lot of fun, and keeping my fingers crossed that we keep it going all season long.

I think it’s good and reasonable to say that we look like a playoff team right now, but I’m like Dmoney, I’m in wait and see mode
Miami is winning the national championship this season. College football is won in the trenches and with quality veteran QB play. After watching every top 25 team over the past 4 weeks, it is very clear that Miami has the best combination of elite trenches and quality experienced QB, so I have seen enough.

Miami gets ring 6 at home.

Im honestly shocked at the national hype we are getting. I think we are good. But when I watch Oregon and taint I just see a different caliber of offensive skill talent. And becks gotta show me some high level distribution. Yes I accept the rain excuse.

I can live with this scenario…

Miami beats Ohio State for the national championship.
Title number six
16-0

Ultimate dream season: (that could play out)

- Beat ND
- Beat UF
- Beat FSU
- Beat GT (ACC champs)
- Beats #9 UGA (Carson Beck Vs UGA would be one of the biggest stories in CFB)
- Miami Beats #4 Oregon in Semi
- Miami beats OSU for Ring #7

Switch bama and oregon and its full go.

I don’t believe there’s another CFB team that could win a national championship on their home field.

Love the faith and enthusiasm.

Jesus. If we won a Natty at our own House over Taint?

Every player should be supplied with a penalty flag to throw on the field after we win, just on General F**king Principle.

In honor of the Stolen Championship from the 2002 Team, of course.....
Then Mario flies up to Columbus and snatches the 2002 trophy for its rightful owner. Stuff little ***** Day and Hartline in a locker together. Jeremiah Smith will try transferring at halftime just to win another Natty

Stats can mislead. They have better skill talent
Only dude I can say with certainty that’s better is J Smith. Iniss hasn’t done much of anything yet. Tate is a former five star, hasn’t proved much at this point. If we’re going soley by recruiting rankings then sure.

Defensively is where I’m impressed with them.

My first season of CFB26 I simmed all the games and it ended up being Miami over Texas tech for the title... that doesn't seem as ridiculous as I first thought....

I think it’s more gameplan than skillset

I sort of feel the same. That said, our defense looks like the real deal. And if you have a top defense, an excellent OL, a competent QB and good (though not game-breaking) RBs and WRs, you can win it all.
