6’0 170lbs 4-star CB out of Tampa, goes to 3A school Carrollwood Day

Dual sport athlete that plays both Basketball & Football

Had a good Sophomore season finishing with 34tcks 6PBU’s & 1INT

Is a lengthy corner with fluid hips & concise footwork.

@:35 he does a great job at Boundary, playing Press man, gives outside release to the sideline immediately opens his hips, skates his feet & turns playing to the inside shoulder of the WR recognizing the Fade route & does a good job tracking the ball to bet the PBU.

@1:56 is precisely why I hate 2-hand jam & never teach that technique.
As you can see, 2-hand jam makes the CB lunge, which gets his feet out of position & gets his hips locked in front of him immediately putting him at a disadvantage on the route & trailing. He was beat out of the gate, but luckily it wasn’t a 9 route & that was a bad throw lol

@2:09 was very good coverage in Press Man, fluid hip turn & stayed on the WR’s hip pocket playing to the inside shoulder towards the sideline. He did a good job reading the WR to recognize the route.

@2:30 textbook coverage; Outside release, perfect hip turn & got his head around to make a play on the ball. That’s a simple Fade route play, but it comes from reading the WR’s upper body & diagnosing if he’s breaking/stemming or running.

Overall, he’s an instinctual cover corner with consistent smooth footwork in Press man. Natural hip turn ability & staying in phase & has active hands at the top of the route. Shows good eye discipline & plays with good Football IQ. The biggest question mark about him is his speed. He lacks raw foot-speed & his 100/200m times reflect that, although he did show some improvement from his initial 200 times being in the 23 range & got down to 21.98. But due to his lack of speed & athleticism he’s been projected to possibly play Safety at the next level.

Goes to Carrollwood Day which has recently been producing good talent:
- 2023 4-star C Clay Wedin, committed to Mich St
- 2023 3-star CB Eddie Pleasant III, committed to Mich ST
- 2023 4-star OG James Jenkins, committed to Cincinnati
- 2022 4-star DT Brandon Cleveland, signed with NC ST (was a former Miami commit)
- 2022 3-star OT Trent Ramsey, signed with Cal
- 2021 4-star TE Michael Trigg, signed with USC (transferred to Ole Miss)
- 2021 3-star DT Desmond Mamudi, signed with VA Tech

In addition to Tavoy, the 2024 class has
- 4-star WR Bredell Richardson
- 4-star WR Zycarl Lewis
- 4-star RB Anthony Carrie
All playing at Carrollwood Day.

The Tampa region in general will be pretty stacked in the 24 class
- 4/5-star RB Stacy Gage (who’s at IMG)
- 4-star LB Adarius Hayes (from Largo)
- 4-star Booker Pickett Jr (who goes to Wharton)
- 4-star DT Eddy Pierre-Louis (who goes to Tampa Catholic)
- 4-star DT Xavier Porter (who also goes to Tampa Catholic)

Are all Tampa kids who will be heavily recruited by the powerhouse schools.

He’s taken recent visits over Spring/early Summer to Clemson, LSU, Bama, UGA, UF & UNC.

Carollwood Day has been churnin' em out these past few classes...
Hillsborough, Tampa Tech, King, Berkeley Prep, Jesuit, Gaither, Jefferson & Tampa Catholic are all schools along with Carrollwood that we need to tap in with & forge a pipeline, because they’re producing talent in every class & we’re not getting any of’em lol.

UF does get their portion of Tampa prospects on a regular basis, but a number of the Tampa kids are going to places like Clemson, LVille, Wake Forest & all kinds of random spots; Iowa ST, Cal, NC ST, USC, Utah, Notre Dame, Kansas ST, UCF, Cincinnati & even Rutgers have all signed Tampa kids over the last 2 classes.

But the 2024 class is loaded with Tampa talent, we gotta make it a point to sign at least 1 or 2 of’em.

We are gonna feast. FSU and UF in their prime are hard to beat for kids there even though we have done it. The current versions of them is a different matter. SEC schools, Clemson, Ohio. They all come and cherry pick. We are moving back in

There has been an emphasis in Tampa last few years by coaches, trainers and former hs/college players to get into various HS programs. Hillsborough County/Tampa is spread out so no one school can hoard all the talent. Plant and Armwood used to poach talent because most HS programs in Tampa really didn't put a great deal of emphasis on football. With over 30 County HS, that is thankfully changing with more former local college grad players getting into coaching. I live walking distance between Freedom (Scott Patchan) and Wharton (Vernon Hargreaves). I can tell you that Wharton puts more emphasis in sports and draws from more talent rich areas. All that to say the future is bright in Hillsborough County for football recruiting.

He’ll be visiting us soon...

But the fact he hasn’t visited us yet & we made his top 10 is promising.

Both Clemson & UF recruit Tampa very well & he’s visited both schools this year.

UGA, Oklahoma & UNC have been recruiting him a lot too, so has LSU but I don’t see them really being in the mix.

It’ll come down to the usual suspects, Clemson, UF, Bama, UGA & Miami.

It’s up to us to win a tough recruiting War for a great FL DB prospect. If Addae is still here next year we’ll see what he’s made of in the recruiting battles for Tavoy Feagin, Charles Lester III, Desmond Ricks, Zaquan Patterson & others.

Gotta start landing some of these high ranked types, can’t keep making excuses every year.

The Addae Effect. Especially with the Bay Area kids(lots of good DB's in the coming classes). We're gonna bag at least one of those Feagin/Lester III types from up there....

Good thing about '24 recruits is they will have film and performances to judge us on. Hopefully a ACC title.
