Yea Dec. 5th will be my 40th anniversary .Maybe we all will get a gift that day…..then again hopefully we get several.
 
JFC South Florida is just still full of d bags…parents, kids, coaches, people on X, podcasters, etc. UM always has to kiss their *** snd offer them since they’re 4 years old, pay the most, win the NC every year. Recruit national, only take the Miami area kids who want to be Canes. Exhausting.

There can't be many people on this board that would be able to shrug their shoulders at $50k in cash.

It's not life changing money, but it's a nice chunk of change.

If I'm guessing NC paid a lot for him because they dont have anyone good at his position, Miami was not willing to "over pay" when we are kinda stacked at the corner position with talent, if so you cant blame dude for taking the bigger bad, and possibly being able to see the field earlier.

you're right 50k is not life changing, but it's a nice chunk of change, also I'm willing to bet most people on this board do not have 50k sitting in the bank.

That post was a reply to the idiot fans who keep bringing up his mom. I said after something like that had she still been here would've never allowed him to commit to Miami. I never said I was still holding it against miami, obviously not since he was committed here and was planning on being an early enrolle.

Just moving on and doing what we think is best for him no matter what anyone else thinks.

Nah, matching UNCs offer would be straight dumb. If this dude doesn't want to come to Miami for slightly less, and the actual opportunity to play for his dream school he grew up a fan of, and even possibly win a starting job for a national championship contender, he can walk. Period, simple as that.
Jaelan Waters has just as good of a shot to win the starting Nickel job as this dude would. Also just based on **** like this, I absolutely doubt this dude would be a team player and open to moving around positions anyways, likely strictly outside CB for him. Similar **** with Damari. I won't be shocked when Damari portals out either btw. If the choice were between Damari and O'Connor, I'd keep O'Connor. Hopefully Antione is earning meaningfull reps as well. Waters, Ewald, and imo portal at Nickel, and our CBs are looking very good. Safety is absolutely a must portal though. Hopefully we get Fitzpatrick.

It's just as or more likely that by reclassifying and chasing the immediate PT in a garbage environment that you actually don't play all that well as a True Frosh - even if you have a lot of talent and long-term potential.... then what does that do to you Ideal gameplan? Yeah much easier to plan like that oh ill do this, take the big bag, get immediate pt, prove myself as the top frosh cb in the nation, then portal and get the super big time bag from a top 5 program.... uh well it's a lot easier to play bad than good when you graduate HS early and are on a garbage team, with who knows coaching you... Cormani and his mom vs Dopson and his dad.... hmm wonder who is making the better choice of the two there... Both seem bad to me. The funny thing is if he was doing this and going to like say Tennessee or Ohio St, I wouldn't be saying any of that. But when you make these decisions to go to Colorado or UNC... good luck.
