Gotcha. They get the benefit of the doubt despite the epic disaster, but the hometown team doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.

70 new faces, hand picked by BB over there at UNC, but go for it buddy. Take the bag and just say you're in it for the cash upfront and have little interest in actually developing or competing

In today's NIL world, I think this kids play is actually strategic. Look at PSU. Everyone and their mother is looking at PSUs commit list and seeing just how much they love the Nittany Lions. It will be the same deal with UNC, when they do finally part ways.

He getting paid for his senior year in high school basically..

Plus we return most of corners playing now unless they portal (high chance) and we have a ton of guys behind the top 4 and committed. Kid wasnt gonna play anyway. Take the bad and do a quinn ewers if anything.. Good luck youngin..

So he doesn't think he's as good as Jamboree, Waters, or any of the guys behind Lucas and OJ?

Maybe he does belong at a third rate program like UNC

JMHO but I believe this is all about resetting his NIL value. UNC is the opening bid for his reclass status and he is hoping for more. I doubt we matched because we know he’ll keep shopping so why bid against yourself? On signing day, if we want him at his new price point he’s ours to lose.
