We know our primary WR targets aren't coming (Jeudy/Holloman) or we just don't know what he's going to do (Devonta Smith). We know we need a serious influx of speed. My theory is- when you can't get who you want, get what you need-Speed. I really don't get the obsession with size at WR when there are so many wide receivers 5'10" and under killing defenses in college and NFL (Antonio Callaway, Santana Moss, Emmanuel Sanders, Golden Tate, Randall Cobb, Julian Edelman,T.Y. Hilton, DeSean Jackson, Steve Smith, Antonio Brown, Brenden Cooks, Jarvis Landry), ****! Odel Beckham is only 5'11". Get my point?
I watched pretty much all the championships yesterday and there just wasn't "a lot" of supposed prototypes out there dominating or the new buzz word, catching phucking jump balls! Most, not all, of the top WR playmakers were the smaller speed types. My point is since we have 2 commits (Njoku/Dingle) with size, Richards and Cager returning with size. I say go ahead and lock up Harley and the Cali kid Jamire Calvin (bonus may be his Cousin DE Echols). Both (Harley & Calvin) are elusive small speeders that would be headaches for defenses. If Smith chooses us the better and more speed. Gentlemen you can't go wrong selecting speed over prototypes and potential. Move on to locking up 2018 WR recruiting class.
