Carter

Most of those were STUPID schematics by our boy Baker. There isn't a safety on the planet that can cover a kid like Atwell from a deep lying position. Most of those catches were in zone coverage where he was cleaning up mistakes made in front of him.

I'll repeat....he's a gazillion times better than Carter. Those two aren't even on the same planet from a talent perspective.
Not sure what you watched. Louisville schemed to get Bolden covering Tutu and they exploited that matchup with success. You’re blaming zone coverage calls from Baker when in reality Bolden is a zone coverage safety, who was thoroughly beaten plenty of times in off man coverage last night. I still think the kid is a stud. You can have your opinion and I’ll have mine.

I'd say the same to you. Carter is a below average safety at best.

I'll say it a third time....those two guys aren't in the same stratosphere in terms of talent. If Baker wants to keep his job, he'll keep Bolden on the field on every **** snap.

Ball hawking safeties rarely give up 8 receptions on 8 targets. Bolden flies around and gets to the ball quickly, and is an awesome tackle in open space. He has made some nice plays on the ball already this season, but implying he’s a ball hawking center fielder means he’s taken far out of the box which is taking him away from where he shines. He was torched last night, but where he shined was making tackles. His coverage skills will continue to improve no doubt, but he was at his best flying up to the LOS to meet the ball carrier.
He was torched because we asked him to cover a 5'8, 150 pound speedster, who is UL's best player. That's a losing matchup for pretty much every S in college football.

He reminds me of one of my favorite Ravens mercenaries, The Patriot Killer Bernard Pollard.

His job was simply to seek & destroy, find their playmakers & decapitate them.

The hardest & greatest hit I've ever seen was in the 2013 AFC Championship game when Bernard came down hill on an angle & absolutely mollywhopped Stevan Ridley, I mean he literally put him on roller skates & basically ended his career.

He stayed in the league for several years after that, but after that hit Ridley was a shot fighter he was a completely different RB, he went from being a 1200yd back to not being able to crack more than 400yds in a season or stay with a team for longer than a year. Pollard rearranged his grey matter.
Funny. I was talking to a buddy of mine at work today who likes CFB (doesn't have a team cause Mizzou sucks but loves CFB but a Chiefs fan and he knows about Pollard) he saw our game last night. He said he saw that hit and we both agreed that **** reminded us of the Brady Knee Assassin.

Not sure why you keep bringing up Carter, I never mentioned him in regards to coverage, only in tackling. Bolden does his best work in the box, blowing **** up at the LOS.

@RVACane

please add "mollywhopped" to list of acceptable CIS phraseology.

He's not a man to man cover guy who is going to blanket WRs. Most S aren't.

Agreed. He’s a beast in zone, and an all around stud. His coverage skills will no doubt get better. His best stops came on 3rd downs when he needed them most. Def a Bolden fan.
