“It went great,” Sneed said. “I got to meet some new people in the building. I also got to get around some other coaches I haven’t really been around. I got to sit through one of coach
(Cody) Woodiel’s meetings for really the first time and I got to get my parents out here for the first time, so I think everything was successful and went great.”
Sneed said at the time of the interview he hadn’t spoken too much to his parents about their thoughts and takeaways from the visit, “but from what I’m getting I think they love it.” He’s maintained “almost daily” communication with Miami’s staff, which he said has helped him build a strong relationship with the staff and helped his parents develop trust. He said trust will play a factor when he eventually makes his final decision.
North Carolina, Ole Miss and Colorado are also working to flip him.
“I’m extremely excited because I’m looking forward to getting out in the city, see the city of Miami a little bit more,” Sneed said. “I don’t even know, I’ve never done an OV before. But all I know is get out, go do things, go see things and build strong relationships. And I know some of my guys like
Heze (Kent) will be down here that same weekend, so we’re excited for that now.”
