Carson "F' ing" Beck - Get him out of here ....

No more QBs who can’t run when needed. There were plenty of first downs left out there but Beck is as slow as one of our lineman
There was also the where he straight up went down a yard before the marker. We did end up getting it on a run the next play but like it was the 4th quarter in a huge game and he willingly went down before the line to gain. Uhhh what are ya doing guy

Now that Carson Beck threw 4 interceptions in a game and cost Miami a game, is it ok to tell some Carson Beck stories? My son’s a bartender in Athens and I’ve got a few.

Let me guess - he got drunk often and was a dog with the girls?

This guy was Pericles against FSU. I don't get it.

My guess is Brohm came up with penetration schemes that put him under pressure and, let's be fair, the Louisville Secondary played lights out.

That one wounded duck that got intercepted, however, should have been a PI.

Beck stunk. I’m concerned about our receivers though. Toney and CJ are the only 2 targets we make
That’s on Beck cause there are other WR’s running wide open on most plays but he has gotten tunnel vision and only sees the numbers 7 and 10.

Does Dawsons offense suck? YEP !!!

But when he does send in a play that has people running wide open and all your 4 million dollar QB wants to do is drop back and see how far he can throw it to 7 or 10 no matter how many people are covering them and doesn’t even look anywhere else that’s on Beck.

"Hey Mario, thanks for stopping by, I'm sure you will like your QB...What? Oh, no it's used, so no warranty"

It has felt a little like those 2 big plays early were a curse.

Beck was awful last night. But for everyone blaming this all on him, curious what you expect a qb to do under the following circumstances:

1. Ineffective, predictable run game. 2.8 ypc.

2. Wide receivers who struggle to consistently get open, outside of Toney no yac, and no real vertical threat.

3. Poor wr recruiting and/or development. We only play three receivers and Marion offers pretty much nothing. This is Miami, we’re in year four, and we’re almost devoid of playmakers at a position it’s not hard to find playmakers.

4. Zero from the tight end.

5. An offensive scheme that makes everything harder rather than easier for the qb and the offense. See the other side of the field in Brohm for how to set your qb up for success.

So again, outside of having Cam Ward back there audiballing and pulling rabbits out of a hat, how do we expect any qb to be successful with all the above issues?

He really didn’t play that great against Florida either, but our defense was insane that game and Gagway had one of the worst games in QB history. When I look at Beck, I just don’t see a dude that lives for this. To be a great QB you have to devote 1000% of your life to it, and you gotta have some dawg in you. His entire career he has these games where he comes out and he’s like, “Eh, whatever.” When he’s locked in he’s as good as any QB in the country, but when he’s not he’s beyond awful.

I think he's afraid of getting hurt again. He doesn't really want to run but he knows he has to. He took some shots last night - one in particular had him looking pretty shaken up. The tv sideline reporter said he was holding his elbow on the bench. He did that during the UF game too.

He looks cooked for sure. Body language is weird too
