Carson Beck vs Quinn Ewers

Beck. As I posted during the ASU-TX thread, Ewers is weirdly underwhelming. His arm is a lot weaker than I thought. Lot of balls were fluttering last night. It’s a very horizontal passing game likely to make up for lack of arm strength.
 
Ewers was hot trash minus two tds. Plus his wrs kept jumping for the ball wide tf open! Texas wins that game with Arch playing

Ewers is literally a system qb that needs his hand held, since sark is great he has won in spite of him and made him look good. If he gets drafted its a miracle.

People pay more attention to ewers because they look at qb wins and stats on the paper. Ewers didn’t have near the amount of responsibilities that beck had, he is tvd if he was a 5 star

Before last night this would’ve been my answer still. Never been a fan of Ewers.

Beck was also down 2-3 top RBs and OL at one point with the 107th running game. Bobo calling plays. WRs dropping 700 yards etc.

Neither are top choices but Beck over Ewers for me.

Possibly the most overrated recruit ever in the history of college football…Only saying this cause i recently saw he is the highest rated recruit ever lol? Can’t believe our fanbase actually wanted him lol

But big picture wise i think the dolphins with , a Shannahan tree coach is a good situation for ewers. Sark basically runs the college version of the shannahan/west coast offense, he might collect a few checks just off knowing that offense

Beck will use his legs to extend plays and get first downs or close. Hopefully, he won’t have to do it too often this year, but last year it felt like he was doing it on every single drive and he did a really great job. Bailed UGA out a LOT.
