I think Beck was farther along than they played up. I think he was doing more passing in the practices than they let on. The decision to announce Monday as his start date is so no one has video of Beck at Miami to scheme against. I am so happy Beck came to Miami!!! This guy just WON the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP a few months ago!!!! I think we are going to be very hard to beat next year. Which Coach Dawson and Beck on the offense. Hopefully a much-improved defensive unit? Can't wait for next baby!!!!!!!

Beck has been throwing for a while, and they've got some private tape banked up to show to prospective portal WRs.

Announcing Monday as the start of his throwing is a way to give cover to the private workouts/throwing sessions Beck can participate in once Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams come for their on-campus visits.
