Carson Beck: The Heisman Candidate People Refuse to Acknowledge

He'll be in New York this December. I can feel it in my plums.

Not guaranteeing a trip to NYC, but the lack of respect for Beck is crazy. He seems to be a distant afterthought in media discussion of top QBs. Yet he probably has as good, if not better resume (stats, big games, etc.) than any of the QBs. Suspect if he was returning to Kirby and UGA he’d be the Heisman favorite.

He'll jump near top of list when Miami beats Nuetered Lame.

Your last point hit the nail on the head. Because Beck is not at UGA, the heavily biased SEC media assumes that he is damaged goods. Had UGA thought he was great he would still be there is the narrative.
It is the same reason Jackson Cantwell can’t be the number 1 recruit in the country. Had UGA thought he was the best recruit in the country he would be committed there is the narrative.

As we live in a world with lazy and/or paid off sports media, everything is subjective. Even last season we had to hear about how Ward OR Sanders was the best QB in college. Consider how laughable that seems now; arguing between the #1 pick and Heisman trophy winner, and a guy who was picked in the 5th round.

I can’t wait to compare Beck’s stats at the end of the season to Gunnar Stockton.

Carson Beck has the highest completion percentage (68%) of any quarterback in Georgia history with at least 300 attempts.

And yet they act like he sucked there.

Beck is also:
- 6th leading passer in school history (7912 passing yards)
- 6th all-time in TDs (58)

Also I think beck was the best qb last year out of all who made the football playoffs.

I would say in my opinion Beck is a favorite to attend the Heisman Trophy Award Presentation in NYC.

They also told me Cam Ward was a fumbling machine who couldn’t beat Stanford to make a bowl game and was a 3rd day NFL pick, also was worse than DJ Ukulele and Graham Mertz.

Let em sleep.
Wasn't it something like 'he has small hands' as to why he wouldn't be good here? mugs will just say whatever to forward their narrative.

If Beck was returning to UGA after successful elbow surgery, he’d be a media darling as well as feel-good story of the preseason. It’s not even debatable.
