Spring Carson Beck takes his Offense out for Dinner

It’s a cool story. Not sure it moves the needle from a leadership standpoint. I appreciated more the comments by Cici that Beck was going through pocket dynamics with him and the other OL. He still seems too disconnected to me though. Want him super dialed in.

I’m going to guess closer to 300 to 350 per person. That’s without liquor or tips. I’m guessing those big lineman were eating massive amounts and then taking some home too. Also, they’re probably getting stuff like big seafood towers
You're probably right, with Bell tearing apart a couple of those 35 oz ribeye's all by himself (at $135 a pop)...and i'm not including the one in the doggie 'sack'.

From Gaby & Lake's article on players impressing this spring:

On Carson Beck:

He has impressed everyone around UM with his football knowledge in the film room and during meetings with various position groups. From a football knowledge standpoint, Beck is a veteran at quarterback who has put in the work to make a seamless transition to this Miami offense when he is able to throw footballs and participate in practices during fall camp.

The NCAA used to not even allow schools to give players real NC rings. The coaching staff got genuine rings but not the players.
I had a client that was on the 1987 UM NC team. At a business lunch, I asked if I could take a look at his ring. He handed it to me and honestly it was cool putting it on, but I noticed a crack in the “gemstone”. I asked him about it and told me how the NCAA would allow the rings to be gold, but no real gemstones. I was blown away.
Kids risked their health, bled, played through debilitating injuries or could end up with lifelong injuries and the ******* NCAA wouldn’t even allow the best team in the nation to buy its players real rings.
I wish the NCAA had been neutered decades ago. I’m glad it’s finally happened.
