Carson Beck doesn't go to class

Based on what he said, he hasn't had classes in two years. It's not about this year.
I know it can be perceived this way, but that's not really how it is.

He said he graduated two years ago to emphasize he's not degree seeking at the moment. He was enrolled and taking online classes last semester.

Very few of these NFL-caliber super seniors take classes the second semester, instead they start preparing for the draft.

Beck invited a little bit of this with an off-the-cuff remark where it left some interpretation, but Beck is within the rules.

The public is clueless when it comes to this. And now with online classes, more 6th/7th year guys, it’s a different ballgame. Athletes pick classes first, degrees predominantly composed of athletes, the tutors etc. happens everywhere.

I was a math major but had several classes with Duke, AQM and a lot of the JAGs of that day. Sometimes they’d be there. A lot of times they weren’t.

He’s less than a year older than Mendoza. I think the entire Indian team averages his age. Nothing burger.

A reporter asked about his classes and he said he doesn't need to go. He said he graduated years ago.

That's a new one on me. I thought you'd at least have to be enrolled in a graduate school.program or even take basket-weaving classes.

Not a criticism. I don't really care. I just assumed you had to be enrolled in a school in order to play for it...
You didn’t pay attention to what he said. He knows his graduate program wouldn’t be finished in two years and he is pursuing a career in the NFL.

Why would he enroll in spring semester just to leave weeks into the semester? He had class in the fall.

He said right after the quote he’s pursuing another degree but you can’t get another degree in a year so it doesn’t matter much.

He is enrolled in a certain number of semester hours (full time) as required by the rules.

HERE'S THE FULL RESPONSE.....

Just have to be eligible after your first semester. He took online classes in whatever he wanted, stayed eligible, doesn't go to class in the spring. Typical of super seniors.

How do we think they can just disappear at these NFL Combine camps and Senior Bowl weeks and Combine weeks etc. They aren't actually in school in the Spring semester.
Reporters & social media ******** with Beck & Miami. Narrative is he hasn’t gone to class since graduating two years ago. Beck, however, explains he’s been taking online grad courses, but won’t be enrolled for this current semester - like anyone heading to the draft.
Cheap shot by anti-Miami crowd.

I'm sure that Bain, Mesidor, Cici, Jakobe, Scott, Davis, and etc. aren't playing school either at the moment. Mo, you better be enrolled.

Too many people (not talking about canes fans) are so eager to jump at any opportunity to try and hate on Beck, even if it means disregarding the truth.
