Carson beck balled out! He's got nothing to be ashamed of

Except when the game is on the line and the pressure is on. Then he folds like a cheap suit.
Louisville game, OT vs SMU, and now this fiasco.
Outside the Ole Miss game, he’s failed on every clutch drive.
There are a certain type of people that will always find a way to **** it up when things are in the line, and others rise to the occasion. Beck is just one of those guys, that can’t help but duck it up. It’s in his DNA.
The guy that was like 37-5 and was 3rd all time winning % against top 10 teams all time has loser DNA? I know people process things differently but take a chill pill

As I see it Beck was a solid College qb but has near zero change at a successful nfl qb

Missing that final throw short was absolutely inexcusable. If you miss that anywhere it has to be deep and outside. My god.

Having said that the rest of the game he was fine. First half was a struggle. They really got no pressure on him. And their DBs were all over Daniels/Marrion. He was good in 2nd half. And Honestly I think he outplayed Mendoza for the most part aside from the final throw. Mendoza literally was only throwing wide open 5 yard outs or prayer back shoulders, entirely relying on their WR winning the 1v1 matchup. Which our DBs were winning in the first half, and they won in 2nd half.

people arguing who out played who. Tbh the only throws Mendoza made were the back shoulder throws that were on O’Conner in the 2nd half. The one on OJ was a bull**** PI call. ESPN will replay his 4th and 5 qb draw but that’s more coaching than him.

One thing about Beck, he put some balls out there where our guys needed to make plays and couldn’t come up with it. Toney aside and CJ’s catch g1, lots of big play opportunities dropped.

Look at the Stats. Get back to me.
Look at the win loss column. The stat that matters. Continually put the team in position to win and put the team on his back to get a TD on a grown man run. Becks INT wasn’t his only bad throw. Fernando possibly had 1 OJ could’ve capitalized on.

Beck outplayed Mendoza.
Im Not No Way GIF

but he did play a helluva game til the last throw

Not the first deep throw he has been woefully short on. Not sure where the other receivers were but felt like he made up his mind and went there no matter what the defense showed post snap.

Multiple things can be true. Are there other things beyond Beck’s performance that cost us the game? Yeah. Did we have an amazing shot to win with less than 2 min left despite our earlier mistakes and did Beck then throw a pass he didn’t need to throw, costing us the game? Yeah.
