Carrollton teammates QB CJ Cypher and OL Kweli Fielder discuss Miami after multiple summer visits

On top of an impressive Prospect Camp filled with commitments and elite 2028 talents, the Hurricanes also hosted multiple targets on unofficial visits this week.
The Carrollton duo of 2028 OL Kweli Fielder and 2029 CJ Cypher made the trip down from Georgia, both having previously visited the school already this summer during the Legends Camp earlier this month.
For Cypher in particular, this visit marked the third time the signal caller has visited Miami after an April unofficial visit.
"Just continuing to build the relationship with coach Dawson and coach Cristobal," Cypher said. "It's just great to see those guys."
Following Cypher's announcement of his "top 10" schools a few weeks ago, buzz started to grow around Cypher's possible reclassification to the 2028 class.
And while the Peach State native admitted it's being considered, he didn't have a timeline on when that final decison could come.
Cypher plans to take his time with his decision, but reiterated how the Hurricanes are in the lead bunch with his respect for offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson as an "NFL guy."
The 6-foot-1 quarterback threw infront of the Hurricanes staff at the Legends Camp (6/7) alongside Miami's 2028 QB commit Knox Annis, and impressed with his advanced traits and feel for his throws.
Similarly, Fielder impressed at the Legends Camp, getting plenty of attention from UM's offensive line coach Alex Mirabal.
"It means alot, coach Cristobal and coach Mirabal being o-line guys, the more I can get developed the better I can be," Fielder said. "I feel like [Miami's] top three for me, I like the way I feel around the school."
The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder shined in drills at Legends Camp with his strength against some of the nation's best pass rushers and traded wins with fellow Miami target DE Asher Ghioto.
Being around the legends and the hard-nosed enviornment the "U" provides is something that means alot to the four-star prospect.
"I love the culture so much, I feel like I fit in with the o-line [here]," Fielder said. " I just want to keep coming back down."
For both, this most recent visit was more laid back, noting how they both aimed to grow their relationships with the Hurricanes staff after getting to see their coaching style up close on previous visits.
The pair have been playing together since they were "five or six" according to Fielder, and cherish the opportunity to stay side-by-side during their recruitment process and possibly at the next level.
Miami would love nothing more to bring the dynamic duo down to South Florida, and appear well-positioned as both navigate their recruitment process.
