you guys are nuts if you think anyone has even thought about going in a different direction. Dude has been great at re-establishing standard that were long gone at our program. I found it amazing that during the Wisconsin game - I started calling for Golden's firing THEN.

How's that for ridiculous - advanced ACCURACY?

We could have saved years or unnecessary, wasted money and effort.

But a bunch of commonly termed "dumbasses," said such an idea sounded idiotic - so soon after Golden was hired.

I hate being right all the time. It's such a burden.

So you're equating what Richt has done in Coral Gables in 2+ seasons to what Golden had done in the same amount of time? Yeah that's spot on for sure, bud.
 
dwins and cane dynasty are 2 guys who never touched a football. This is nothing like golden. Richt is recruiting at a high level. 2019 class? Might not be ranked as high as we think, but we’re filling in depth after 2018 and 2020 is a monster class. 2019 will have a ton of south Florida players who will be underranked. Calling richt a corch is a joke.
This staff has some quality coaches and some guys who are big recruiters. In college football, talent often wins over coaching.

Mark Richt is a good above average coach ,I think his winning % is in the high 70s C+ .
At the📙_📗 we expect A's and A+'s (NC) .
We as fans don't want to play second fittle to anyone. Thats just or style down here ,you see it everywhere down here in Florida the deeper you get the worse it gets, from peewee to high school we expect winners, our fans will not support losers .
Mark Richt aint doing a bad job he's doing a good job C+,or a B .We want A's and A'+ , Tru Hurricanes set the bar and not just make it. (Turnover chain)

No - I'm equating my superior ability to see patterns. Quickly.

My name's not bud, and I'm sure as **** not your bud - so let's get that one out of the way.

Some folks have tendencies. The way they approach a problem. Some are very systematic - which can be a really good approach - except when they're excessively rigid in their approach to implementing their systems.

Others are highly flexible - quick to adapt to conditions and situations as the need arises. They believe in order and a systemic approach - right up until that approach isn't providing the desired results - and then have the ability to "change horses in the middle of the stream" or alter their trajectory as maybe a constantly evolving situation requires.

Both have their benefits - but there's not a single benefit in maintaining a rigid approach to your task. Golden was rigid - he and those with him - and it was his Achilles Heel.

RIcht is rigid - not able - or maybe willing - to quickly adapt to rapidly changing conditions.

Rigidity disables flexibility - they are antithetical to each other.

We've seen two years of rigidity, and going into the third year - it's more of the same. For a person who relies on his rigid, systematic approach, they'll only try to turn to some flexibility as disaster approaches - and by then it's usually a bit late - and - as a more desperate flexibility - frequently ineffective.

Everyone in the free world knows that you never hire family - unless it's a family owned business. Never. So why in Hades would Richt do this? I appreciate that he's family oriented and all, but Richt made it on his own - and the hardest thing to do is to compel your offspring to make it on their own. That situation is a mistake. A stubborn mistake.

I like Richt - but he's a rigid personality - what you saw yesterday is what you'll see today - and again tomorrow. That's great if you're a watchman - as you're stability is required - but he needs to Head Coach - for stability - but turn over his Offense and Defense to more energetic, creative, and flexible, hungry men with a fire in their gut to succeed.

Two more years of rigidity is just going to be a bit painful. Only to end up with the same solution -

First of all, pal, I'll call you whatever the fvck I want, so let's get that out of the way.

Now that we're past the middle school lunchroom banter, I'll say your points above are very sound. I appreciate the logical thinking rather than the sensational crap that permeates this forum so often. Having said that, your entire premise (as it applies to Richt) is based on the assumption that Richt simply cannot be successful here because of either past tendencies or decisions/actions he has made in his time thus far in Coral Gables. I respectfully disagree with that. Only time will tell, but to state that as if it is an absolute fact is foolish and ignorant.

But back to my original point, to lobby for Richt being fired right now and starting completely over with a new regime at this point in time is downright idiotic. That's all I was saying; I wasn't defending CMR and everything he has or hasn't done, by any means. If he doesn't right to ship and get us headed back to the top of CFB, then yes, he absolutely needs to go just like any coach should. But to lobby for that at this point in time when he has improved the team's results every season he has been here, got us our first bowl win in ages vs WVU, won the Coastal for the first time in school history, helped reignite Miami recruiting and had a major hand in getting us an IPF, is so premature that it rises to the level of pure stupidity. Hence, my first post above.

At the same time, their recruiting class is looking mediocre (the result of four pathetic national tv losses).

Now imagine their coach is Mark Richt.
